  1. I have blown both fork seals this past weekend,I have a 2006 wr-250,I have been told that the 06 seals are made of a harder material and therfore not as soft or pliable and do not seal as well as earlier models.If this is true can I use earlier model seals if so which year should I order???
  2. Is it the solid grey wire? Or is it the grey wire with a white stripe??
  3. Not sure of the code on the needle it's the stock one,it seems to work the best. The grey wire is still conected.I was told not to disconect it because I ride alot of tight knarly stuff??
  4. Here is what I did. Warmed bike up,and took her for a rip,it was missing at low throttle opening. Just for the heck of it I took out the spark arester and took it for another rip, It's fine now?? What's up with that?? My air/fuel screw is around 1 turn out,seems to be much better. Also pulled the plug and is a nice tan colour. Whenever I adjust the air screw and turn it all the way in it has no effect on the idle,when I turn it out it seems to run best at 1 turn out if I go beyond that it starts to die.Should I still go down 1 size on the pilot??   5. What do you think of these settings? MJ-168 PJ-#45 Leak Jet#40 Needle Jet stock/which I think =4clips down. I have removed the exhaust plug,smog crap,cut throttle stop.Opened up air box. I cant seem to get it running right,it misses bad at around 1/8 throttle opening.Runs great everywhere else.If rideing agresively it's not a problem,but when just cruising down mainroads/fireroads it's very anoying. I have tried diferent clip positions it only made it worse. Sea level 300 to 1500. Average temp 70 to mid 80's. Any sugjestions would be much apreciated. Thanks Al

    Thanks to everyone who helped,I finally got my 06 wr-250 running sweet no more sputter or bog off idle Smog crap removed,exhaust tip removed.Throttle stop screw cut. Main jet stock 168 pilot #45 from stock42 leak jet #40 from stock 70 4clips down on needle 1 3/4 turns out on fuel screw Thanks again.This site is the greatest __________________

    Thanks guys,hope this #40 leak/pump jet will fix the bog/sputter off idle. Really looking forward to getting this bike run the way it should.

    Dealer couldn't help me out,I am trying to get my 06 wr-250 jetted properly. I have changed my pilot from a #42 to a #45 still bogs and sputters. I was told here to try a # 40 leak jet,but my dealer doesn't have a part # for it his microfiche only goes as low as a #65. I found a part# here somewhere but it was for an 03-wr250 Part#4JT-149F-03 he put that in his computer and says yes I can get that one,now my question is is it the right one for my 2006 wr-250?? __________________

Stumped on Jetting WR-250 I have a 2006 wr-250,smog crap removed,throttle stop cut and small tip at end of exhaust removed,just off idle it sputters or if i give it a quick shot of gas it bogs??? I tried moving the clip up&down it ran worse?So clip is now back to stock 4 down. I changed the pilot jet from #42 to a #45 Little improvement if any. I'm at 11/2 turns out on fuel screw. Main jet #168 Leak jet #70 Riding at 300ft to 2000ft. What should I try next?????

    New WR450F ??

    I know the Yamaha a.i.s removal kit comes with jets,I would assume the one from the TT store would also come with them .
