    J-LO'S backside

UFO's tail light, light compact and feels good after you mount it! Should be 59.95 or so. My local dealer had the same price as the internet. SAM

How to change the front sprocket?

Ok, so it is my first time changing a front sprocket and I need a little help. I bent back the washer and still can't get it to budge. First of all this is probably a dumb question but...do you loosen it to the left or is this a funky setup and you loosen to the right? I tried putting it in gear but can't get it to move. Please help, SAM
  4. Once again the people of Thumper Talk come through. I used the 5/8 inch drill bit and drilled out the lens assembly and it all looks awesome! Thanks to you, SAM
  5. So I got the UFO on my DRZ400 2000. My first mod (many to go) and I have purchased the different GE921 bulbs for the quick flash problem, now how do those bulbs come out? I have the assembly out. So now do I drill out the hole or do you somehow remove the lens? Thanks in advance, SAM
  6. Does anyone know if I convert a WR426 to a dualsport setup would I actually be able to get it licensed in Georgia? Has anyone done this in Georgia? Thanks, SAM

Dual Sport Kit for 125L need advice?

Has anyone put on a Baja Designs lights and signals for the TTR125L? My wife has a TTR and instead of selling it and getting a dual sport I thought I could get that kit. Also, is the stock gearing OK for the street? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tnanks in advance, SAM DRZ400S, TTR125L-wife, Z50-6 yr old girl

OK, DRZ is worth mods, where is least $ to get em

Thanks for the information, I saw that Renthal had steel front sprockets and aluminum rear. When you said get steel sprockets do you mean for front and rear? Thanks again, SAM
  10. I see that the 2001 DRZ400S is worth the mods especially if I do a little more street than dirt. I appreciat all the excellent feedback. So let's see what you think about this, where is the best place to get the following mods. Time and money well spent! 14/47 sprockets Dyno Jet kit I want to run a stock muffler so I need the appropriate jetting, DO I HAVE TO SPECIFY OR DOES IT COME EQUIPPED WITH THE RIGHT JETTING? UFO tail/stop and turn signal mod. I went to local MC shop and parts department only showed mod for RM will it work. I expect it will. Price was $59.95 I am not very good about knowing where to find these parts on the net. The local shop quoted about $190 + tax for all this stuff. Sounds high and I could probably get it cheaper on the net with your help. Thanks again, SAM
  11. I am considering selling my 2000 DRZ400S stock bike and convert a WR426F but I really don't have the money now and want something that I will be happy with. I am just wondering if it would be cheaper to sell this and buy a used WR426F and possibly not have to make all those mods? By the time I change gearing, jetting, forks, pipe etc. would it be better to just get the Yamaha WR426S? I weigh 200lbs loaded up and like trail and hill climbs, I live in North Georgia, so we have a lot of wash out climbs, ruts, roots and rocks so you need the power. But I want to get into Dual Sporting and get in the mud and sand as well. Why are DRZ's worth all of those mods? I can really use your help on this one, I have never modified a bike and not sure how much of a drastic change it would be if at all. I got reply to one of my post from a guy with an XR650 and he modified his jetting, airbox and gearing then added a pipe and didn't see much if any increase in performance. So I got worried. Thanks for the advice in advance, SAM

Got a 00' DRZ400S & need your advice about mods

To give you an idea, I weigh about 200 lbs with my gear on and I too like to hill climb. I was trying to figure out how much top end I will loose if I go to 14/47? Also, do you guys know where to buy the UFO tail/stop, blinker kits? Also, What do you mean when you say: Blingin new electic blue power band by suzuki racing? My second option was to sell this bike and convert a WR426F but I really don't have the money now and want something that I will be happy with. I am just wondering if it would be cheaper to sell this and buy a used WR426F and possibly not have to make all those mods? By the time I change gearing, jetting, forks, pipe etc. would it be better to just get the Yamaha WR426S? Why are DRZ's worth all of those mods? Thanks again, SAM
  13. I have a 2000 Stock DRZ400S & could use your help I just acquired a stock DRZ400S 2000 in a bike trade with my brother in law for my 2001 YZ250F (I am trying to get into Dual Sporting) I was trying to determine if I should keep the bike or not and if the mods make a big difference or not? As you might have guessed a stock DRZ400S feels very under powered and not real torquey on the bottom end compared to my YZ. My Question is this, did anyone have an S without any mods and then completed the mods have not have any noticeable change? And if you did have change was there a VERY noticeable difference after the mods? I was considering the 3X3 and dyna jet kit along with putting new sprockets on the front and rear to set up a 14/47 gearing now it is 15/44, do you think I will have a noticeable difference? I can only get the front end up in 1st gear now and want to be able to do that much better in the higher gears. When I go down the trails and need to pop the front up to avoid logs, roots and erosion gully's I can't get the front up like I used to. Also in hill climbs it is soft too if I need to pop over stuff. Also how much will I loose on the top end with the above mods? Thanks for you time and knowledge, SAM
