  1. I have read before that DNA wheels offers a rebuild kit. I read somewhere on here that they were about $27 So I called DNA to get the rebuild kit (bearings, dust covers, and crush tubes) I ordered it for my sons yz250 both front and rear. When the guy quoted me the price i about fell off the chair! $123.00 Then on top of that it was $20.00 to ship. So I have $143.00 in rebuilding these wheels. And the bearings aren't even sealed bearings. Maybe I'm wrong but that seems really high to me. The initial price of the wheels wasn't too bad but I think the rebuild kit was ridiculous. I did ask the guy about the price seeming high and he told me that the $123.00 was a discounted price???. Does anyone know where you can buy these cheaper maybe without going through DNA? Thanks Steve

    mixing shaking up gas can?

Usually I premix 5 gallons of gas at a time. After the premixed gas has sat in the can for a day or a week. Does the oil and gas separate much? I mean I always shake the can before putting more in the bike but how much additional shaking or mixing does it really need to get it evenly distributed? May sound like a silly question but I just always wondered how important it was to and how much to shake it to get it evenly mixed back up?

    Oil leak

It does look like the rubber gasket near the p/v is where the problem is. I just bought this bike last week for my son so I have not had the p/v cover off yet. Looks like I am gonna though. Ant other thoughts on this?

    Oil leak

I have an 05 yz250 that apears to have the exact problem he is describing. Can anyone tell me if the powervalve gasket would be causing this problem? If not, what I can do to get it fixed and stop leaking? Thanks Steve

    Hinson clutch plates install?

I wanted to see if I did this correct? My son has a 08 crf250r On the stock clutch, the inner disc has a larger inside diameter than the other 7. I had a Barnett for this bike and it was the same. Larger I.D. on the first disc, it even had a note in the Barnett instructions advising so. Today I put a Hinson in and all the plates were exactly the same size? In fact, I had to remove the large flat washer and judder spring that rides on the inside of the inner basket to allow all the plates and dics to fit into the clutch basket. They all wouldnt fit with the judder spring in place. I wanted to make sure this was the correct way to do it since there were not any instructions with the discs? I tried to call Hinson but of course they were closed the day I decided to put it in. Thanks Steve

    ready racing oil filter/cover crf250r

I have the same problem with leaking. Can anyone tell me the exact size o-ring you need? I have emailed them a few times and called multiple times over the last few weeks. I can NEVER get anyone to answer the phone or return calls, Thanks Steve
  10. I bought a used 03 wr450. The guy said the pressure switch on the rear brake went bad so he put a new one on. It also quit working very quickly. I just bought a new one and installed it about a month ago. It was working fine. I took the bike out tonight for the first ride of the year and when I got home I noticed it isn't working again! Is there something simple I should look for that may be causing this or do you think I am just having bad luck with the switches? I thought maybe there was something specific to wr's that I should look for the root of the problem. Thanks for any suggestions, Steve

    fuel joint swivel??

Charlie, thannk you for the response! I went and picked up new fuel line today and looked at a 2008 they had on the showroom. It appeared to be at the same angle as mine. So I don't think mine is bent. The OEM microfiche shows it as if it were a perfect 90 degree but it isnt. I still dont see the little screw you are referring to? I dont see it on the parts list either, Thanks Steve

    fuel joint swivel??

I have a 08 crf250. The brass swivel joint that goes into the carb on one side and the fuel line attaches on the other. Should this brass swivel joint be bent to a perfect 90 or not, mine appears to be bent about 110 degrees. The bike started leaking gas. I did notice a small hole in the fuel line so I know that is one of my problems. I just wasnt sure if the swivel joint got bent in a crash and caused the hose to stretch and rip. If it is bent and needs replaced, how do I replace it? Can I just pull it out or do I need something special. Thanks Steve, I did search and couldnt find any help out there.

    radiator brace

I had some works connection on a 08. I sold them as 06-09 models. I later found out they were originally on a 04. The mounting holes on the 08 are 4 3/4. Pre 06 are 4 1/2" So they are different because honda lowered the rad 1/2" after 06. With all that said, they will work. I had to work with them a little but they did work. I never realized the ones I had on the 08 were actually for the 04-05 until after I took them off and sold them and the guy said the holes were different.
