    1988 CR250 radiators on a 1988 CR500?

i am hesitate to buy used radiators that are 23 years old. I asked about the 88 CR250 radiators because I found some cheap brand new ones

    1988 CR250 radiators on a 1988 CR500?

well... none of the part numbers match. I know that doesnt necessarily mean that no others will work though. One question - if I connect the radiator to my bike, will it function? In other words, do all radiators function the same? By asking that, I am assuming that the only significant variation between a 1988 CR250 radiator and a 1988 CR500 radiator is the mounting brackets where they bolt to the frame. Is that correct?

Oh yes, the seat. My needle and seat constantly get stuck in this carb, I hate it. Yeah I'm going to clean it well. I just ordered the K-21. Thanks
  5. Does anyone know if these two radiators are compatible? I found some good priced brand new aftermarket 1988C CR250 radiators on ebay and I want them for my 1988 CR500 if they will fit. Anyone know?

Right, but I just confirmed that mine are leaking via a pressure test. ...which is why I was asking if a 1988 CR250 radiator set will fit on my 1988 CR500

Will 1988 CR250 radiators fit on my 1988 CR500? These look like a good deal http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-alloy-aluminum-radiator-HONDA-CR250R-CR250-88-89-90-/130456675381?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e5fd2e435#ht_1995wt_764

OK, I just pressure tested them and both radiators are leaking from the upper corners. Guess I gotta replace them.

Ok, I am currently running an E-19 needle. So I need to go to 21, right? Did you change the style of the needle (from E to K) or did you keep it the same? What was wrong the needle and seat? My idle problem is horrible, and it is not a jetting issue. What is the "seat"? Thanks

I checked the connections. They were tight. I noticed my left radiator is slightly warped. Could it be leaking from the radiator itself? Is there a way to test it? At a radiator shop?

I'm at about 350ft elevation. Right now temps are cool 50-70 deg F with low humidity. Whatever needle I have, it's running at 0-3 clicks out from full rich. In a few hours I'll let you know what needle I have. I assume it's the stock 17-E. Btw, can you repost that link for the needles?

I'm not sure - whatever came on it. I've never had to mess with the needle before. I'm going to take it apart tonight and look it at. I'll get one of each, a K and an E series needle. Should I go up 2 numbers? Say from an E-17 to a E-19 & K-19?

Does the K needle have any negative effects compared to the E series? If it's higher performance, I am interested in trying it. Also, does the K needle come numbered just like the E series? Ex, if i got the K needle, I'd get the K-21? Thanks pwrpapa

Would the needle have anything to do with the fact that my idle will NOT stay consistent? At one stop light it will idle high, then 100 ft later at the next stop light it idles so low that it almost chokes out. Btw, is the K-series needle higher performance in other words?
