Tusk High Pressure Cap 1.8 Bar

I have decided to ditch the tusk cap and go back to 1.1. $26 is not worth the potential increase of pressure on the system. I did poke around on eBay and look for a D.C. Brushless fan, all seem to come from china and take weeks to arrive. Does anyone have suggestions for local pickup or at least a few days shipping? Also if mlatour doesn't mind, will you post a rough draft of your wiring diagram from fan to toggle to fuse to battery. Just for reference.

I like what you have done here... When mounting the Fan did you use a Zip tie directly thru the Fin and another Zip tie head to fasten? Again nice work... T

Tusk High Pressure Cap 1.8 Bar

Thanks for the replies, Jim you always have sound advise. I am going to give it a shoot this Spring and monitor my Temps. Hopefully I will remember to dig this thread back up and update. I looked into the Trail Tech Fan Kits, and yes they are nice and I would like to have one, but think I will wait until I actually have overheating problems to install one. I'll pass on the DYI version, the digital readout and temp settings on the trail tech is worth the extra money.

Tusk High Pressure Cap 1.8 Bar

Yes, I got one, I would really like to know my temps while deep in the woods, but don't want to cook my engine because of the increased pressure. 1.1 is 15psi, 1.8 is 24psi, that's a big difference. I'm totally cool with the increase of pop-off pressure but wanted to hear from some with knowledge first.

Has anyone run this Tusk Cap on their X? Wondering if there are any potential downfalls....

Looking for information on Hatfield McCoy's

Rockhouse lives up to its name, very technical in some areas and massive rocks as far as you can see. Some of my buddies prefer the House. Trail 199 is no joke!

Looking for information on Hatfield McCoy's

I go to Hatfield about 3 times a season, the spring and fall are perfect because of temps, but anytime is good time there. As everyone has stated pretty much every system has difficultly levels from mild to wild. We normally stay at either Ashland Resort or Trail Head Resort or Twin Hollow. All three of these have camper hookups, cabins, tenting and are on a property with cameras and plenty of places to lock up bikes. If you stay in these areas you can teach 3 to 4 systems without trailering, all ride out and stay out locations. If you have not been ridden at Hatfield before you can't go wrong with your choice, not many places on the East Coast Match up.

  15. If anyone has a stock spark arrestor, I need one for my daughters 2003 crf150f. I can cover shipping and throw in a few dollars for the trouble. Dig around in your garage and help a brother out! T
