    Knight,Salimen and Tarkkla to BMW!!

I am proud American. I care if I am not political by nature and have maintained a positive out look on Thumper Talk for many years. Thumber Talk is not a political forum. Shut my trap??? You mean you have the right to tell me I do not have freedom of speech??? Jeez... I have gone through trail closures for over 20 years - agree - typically not a single person can shut down trails but they do have a big influences. I am also PRO-ACTIVE. I have over 80 hours of -documented- trail work in the last 14 months. This includes USF Service trail maintenance course (1 was a full week) which I took personal vacation off for, spent my own gas money, etc. I also have a USF trail that I work and supported many weekends of trail cleanup after Hurricane IKE. Further more, I support and am a member of the Blue Ribbon Coalition (BLC), AMA, and a locale club - all this is money out of my pocket - not including the time. What's the point here? It is that I am pro-active in keeping "our"- riding areas open. I watch others just complain but they don't even lift a finger to help out. Political parties can and will shut down trail if we are not pro-active. I refuse to respond any further. MSTex

Dear treecutter1 - thank you for the kind remarks which I apprecicate. Political views may differ but this is still a wonderful and free society. The Husa is really a fine machine and I am quite luck to own it. Happy Trails! MSTex

Go Obama --- that makes me sick - you will lose your riding area too. I am not political by nature so don't post political stuff here. And by the way my 2009 Husaberg FE 450 is a way better machine than the Taiwan engine bullt BWM! MSTex

    Husaberg 2009 test

The rear subframe seems really tough to me, the only concern i have is that the molded-in tread inserts to fix it to the main frame will wear out after a while. But we will see. If you are a desert rider you will find it interesting theat the frame is already prepared to mount a steering damper Hi! 1. The threaded inserts in the sub-frame are likely like those in a typical plastic gas tank and are made of a knurled brass and heat installed. There always seems to be some type of galvanic corroison between the brass and the plating on the screw. Although not a total solution, I use silver assembly lube mixed with water proof grease. Of course these screws do not need a lot of torque to hold them in. 2, Can you explain the "already prepped" for a stearing damper? I have researched the Husa hard parts damper and there are 3 parts: a) damper handle bar bracket, and c) the steering stem bracket - this is a very expensive damper!!! - can you tell me more? Thanks! Husaberg 2009 test

I hope mine arrives sooner - as I am going crazy not riding as my YZ 250 is now gone, and my 07 KTM 315 XC-F-W is up for sale and just too clean and setup to get dirty and a buyer is ready. I guess I will be putting in a lot of manual trail work hours and riding my moutain bike to placate me... MSTex

    Husaberg Steering Damper

Anyone know who makes that tiny Husaberg steering damper? How much does it raise the bars, and how much does it cost? Looking forward to my 09 FE 450 and may need a damper - I have a nearly new fender mount Scotts (for a YZ) I am sure I couold retro fit. Does the new OLINS damper fit a Husa??? Thanks! MSTex
