Where to find xtreme 125 clutch cable

Still not sure that would give me enough. Is there a cable out there that has the 2-nut adjustment on the engine mount and the adjustment in the middle of the cable?

It has about 2" of free play, but not sure on total length.

Where to find xtreme 125 clutch cable

I am fixing it for a friend and this is the last thing I need, but can't find one.
  4. I have a 2006 xtreme 125 and am having trouble finding a clutch cable. Mine has a rear mounted clutch arm and only about 2" of free play. Most for sale are 3.5"-4". Anyone know where l can still get one?

    Overheating and Octane: any relation?

Update: Radiator was fine so I changed the head gasket. I will hopefully get to ride it this weekend or on Tuesday.

Yeah, I checked my timing and it WAS off 1 degree, but still overheated last night the same (but it did start easier than normal). I do not know how it got off, as I have not messed with it all summer, but that is a whole new subject. So now, I am going to have the radiator gone through and replace the head gasket. Will let you all know.

    Overheating and Octane: any relation?

"93 octane for our bikes. Nothing more, nothing less. " I did step up to a 13:1 piston last year, but it ran fine (not overheating) after I did this with 93 or a 50/50 mix with race gas. I did not notice any pinging yesterday, but maybe there was some???

It was an outdoor arenacross style track with alot of clutching (corners) and RPM's, but my last race this last spring was an arenacross and I did not have this problem.

Well, I am at the same jetting as when I was running race fuel and it was colder then also. So, now that it is warmer, I should be plenty rich, right? Maybe I need to up my pilot? Still curious about flushing the radiator? Something I can do myself and know I did it right or do I need to take it to a radiator shop?

What about the head gasket or water pump impeller? Could those be a problem without any other obvious signs from them? Shawn MC, should I take it to a radiator shop or could I flush it myself? How? Thanks.
  11. I was overheating pretty quickly last night. I have not rode the bike in about 6 months, but all was good before that. Now I did step back to pump gas (93) from a pump/race gas mixture. I do have an overflow tank and the coolant was boiling in it and shooting steam and coolant out of the top. I am running 70/30 water/anti-freeze (same as before, and I tried engine ice before and it did not help). Same jetting. Also, I checked for headgasket leaks with started fluid spray while idling and did not find any. - Could the lower octane cause overheating? - Could there be something wrong with my pump or impeller? Or do they either work or not work? - Could my head gasket be leaking and I not be able to see or find it? Check it how? Thanks.
  12. I will recheck this again today, but it looked fine yesterday. I had the whole thing apart, blew out every passage, made sure the accelerator pump was working, put it back together, and it fired up. Great, right? WRONG. That was it. It ran awesome for about 15 seconds and then just died, and now it does not even act like it wants to start.
  13. I did not pull the slide out, but how do I check the hot-start?
  14. I have not rode for 6 months, but drained the carb and tank when I stopped riding but must not of got it all. I got it started, but it ran horribly and woul;d die if I let off the gas and was popping repeatedly. So I pull the carb, and there is some 'varnish' in the bowl. I get it all cleaned out, cleaned out the jets and such, but now it won't start at all. What should I check next? Thanks in advance.
