MX Rear Fender: Maier vs. Honda Japan 400SM

I first glued in a piece of plastic to "fill" most of the hole using epoxy to glue it in place.than a lil bit o bondo and fiberglass and resin to smooth everything out. I finished it up with a good ol' can a krylon semi gloss

Yea, I'm running non DOT knobbies aswell. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought they might be a problem on grated bridges

    Grated Bridge

i know this threads kinda old but I hate to admit I am kinda scared to cross these. I have knobbies and I fear only the worst can happen. I picture a knob getting caught the wrong way and its all over.....am I just being a pansy? Anybody have experiance on grated bridges with knobby tires?

Front caliper flex and pulsating braking

thanks guys. whenever it stops raining ill pull the caliper and check for un even pad wear and stuck pistons aswell as see if the rotor is nice and straight. I love this place, the answer to my question seems so simple and no one gave me shit. Over on the SV site i used to frequent I would have been heckled right off the forum:thumbsup: now that i think of it, i didnt have any pulsing lat time i took her of road before i registered it and i did take a lil spill
  8. I have recently registered my xr for street and I began to notice a shimmy or pulsing under moderate to hard use of the front brake. When I got home I gave the lever a few squeezes and noticed that the bottom part of the caliper seems to bulge or flex a little bit. Is a little caliper flex normal? What about the pulsing/shimmieing? It almost seems as if I am pulling the lever and letting it go over and over untill I just about come to a stop. Once I have a few spare dollars I'll be sure to do new pads and lines
  9. well folks i'm sorry to say my XR now rests alone in my garage:foul: I sold the DRZ to ease the financial situation at the moment and p for EMT school:thumbsup: I'm happy about having more space now though

what resitor for l.e.d. turn signals?

I got a PM from shovelhead i think? He recomended trying between 600-800ohm resistors. I picked up some 330hm resitors at radioshack as that was the highest they had. two resistors per signal and they flash at the correct rate:banana:

what resitor for l.e.d. turn signals?

what no one on here has leds on their bike and needed resitors to make em work? i kinda find that hard to beleive

what resitor for l.e.d. turn signals?

I searched the local shop and found the same blinkers. The package says they run on a 12v 23watt system. And yes I wired the first pair backwards and the "blip" was them frying. So for 23 watts what resistor should I need?
  14. I put some led turn signals on the xr but they only give a quick blip of light and then nothing. Im assuming i need a resitor to make them work? my xr has a dual sport kit if that is any bit of useful info and the rear signals which are incandescant still flash fine. Which rating resitor do i need to make the leds work?
