    Drz 400 sm tuning

You can go one of two ways Gav. At the moment I've fitted the Leo Vince X3 tail pipe (£280) which unbungs the engine, lets it breath and gives a lot more flexibility in each gear. It DOES give more power throughout although different people will give different opinions on that. Vince comes with 4 inserts from loud to road legal(just nice and fruity enough!). With the quiet insert you don't need to rejet or adjust anything. The second way: 'Race end can or full system' 3x3 cut out mod on top of airbox Dynojet (FMF,Moose-all same kit) or JD jetting kit Plus in the UK 135 pilot air jet Kientech extended fuel screw Removing the PAIR valve and carb solenoid will also give you reduced popping on the over run (is that a problem!) and full throttle travel/response in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears. In a nutshell thats it. There are lots of views and variations on what's best.

Mikuni Part Number For 135 PAJ

Julle - thank you once again. I think I've identified the correct PAJ at Allens Performance in the UK. Will confirm price and that its the correct jet for the forum when it arrives and I strip the carb. 4.0mm Slot head M4 Thread 6.5mm Length 3.00mm Thread length

    found jd jetting supplier uk

Cost! DJ 3110 kit + Extended Fuel Screw. £55 before any Tax extra's - still cheaper than DJ kit bought here.

Mikuni Part Number For 135 PAJ

Had a look on the parts microfiche and the jet looks nothing like the ones I posted. Threaded all the way down? Getting frustrated now........anyone post a piccy?

Race you! Just ordered Dynojet kit from the USA. Trying to find supplier for the 135 Pilot Air Jet-got Suzuki part number but not Mikuni which Allens Performance need.

Mikuni Part Number For 135 PAJ

Need to change my Pilot Air Jet from 165 to a 135. Problem is I want to do the Dynojet install at the same time and don't want to strip the carb twice. Do these look right? Does someone have the Mikuni part number to give to the UK supplier? They don't have a listing for the DRZ carb. Allens have photo's here: www.allensperformance.co.uk/mikjets.html

    RMX450Z will replace DRZ400E

Ooops! Whilst on holiday in France last week, 'Enduro' magazine had a picture of the 450 Enduro. I assume it was final pre production but it was a real bike rather than a mock up. From what I could work out it was 450cc and had fuel injection-no surprise!

  9. Just fitted the X3 silencer onto a totally stock 2005 DRZ400SM. Immediate difference from stock: definitely breathing better, more flexible and more power. I appreciate a Dynojet/JD kit and set up on a dyno would make further improvements but can I leave the jetting standard without long term damage or do a simple mod i.e. raise the stock needle or just replace main jet? I run the quiet insert.

oil leaking from behind the sprocket...?

MG Moto-the bloke who was selling the stainless spacers in the UK ran out some time ago and can no longer produce the spacers. I emailed him but he didn't reply second time around. Searched UK and USA but no-one seems to be manufacturing them. Anyone out there with CNC? Money for old rope!!!
  11. Both Maxxis and Goldspeed road legal Supermoto tyres are advertised here in the UK. They look identical (apart from sidewall names!) so what's the difference? The Maxxis guys seem to make a big deal about theirs not being Goldspeeds.
