    2001 YZ250F Stalling out

Kind of don't think so. I have a shop and I work on these type of bikes all the time. Idle seems normal/typical to me.
  2. This is strange, Bike starts right up, runs great, idles perfect. Sometimes it will just "die out" typically when coming out of a corner or playing around in technical terrain at slow speeds. It's kind of aggravating as it does it quickly with no warning ( no stumbling, hesitating, etc.) then you have to re-start the bike. Runs fine and has no problems when ridden aggressively at higher rpm's. Engine has been rebuilt, new piston rings valve job etc. I had the carburetor all apart and cleaned all jets and passageways-didn't help anything. Valve clearance is correct, air filter clean. Any help is appreciated.

    YZ 250 cornering/steering

I just found some 10-13 clamps for like 125.00. I will try them then give you guys some feedback. Thanks everybody for the input.

    YZ 250 cornering/steering

OK so I have to use the 10-13 YZ450 lower triple clamp AND upper clamp, I can't use my 07 upper clamp?

    YZ 250 cornering/steering

OK, so the 01-013 YZ450 stem won't work so you press out the 07 YZ 250 2-stroke stem and install it in the 10-13 YZ450 triple clamps then what is the milling/machining?

    YZ 250 cornering/steering

Thanks for the input, feedback everybody. Hey c-man one thing I don't understand is you say a cheap route is 10-13 YZ450 triple clamps? I looked up the part # and price it says just the bottom part (with stem) is 456.00? Could you explain further? Thanks Ken

    YZ 250 cornering/steering

Also I'm 160lb and both the front and rear suspension have been revalved and it has softer springs front and rear.

    YZ 250 cornering/steering

My sag is within that range 3.5-3.9. I don't ride on a motocross track I ride mostly desert.

    YZ 250 cornering/steering

I use Mich s-12 on the front. I've done everything else. Who makes the 22.5 Clamps?
  10. I have an 07 YZ250 2-stroke, and although I really like the bike, I have always struggled with the steering and never felt I could corner as aggressively and confidently as I could with CR's I've had in the past. I've had the suspension done, set the sag, moved the forks etc. Has anybody out there tried any other triple clamps with good results? Applied Racing etc.? Thanks Ken

    2008 RM 250 C/S Seal

Hey Zig06, Somebody from dirt rider.net said you may know the answer to this question. I have a 08 RM 250 2-stroke that I'm working on. The countershaft seal has a lip on it, does this go inside the engine cases or out? The exploded view diagram does not show it with enough detail. Thanks USP

    XR650L Won't start

I just took the CDI out and started smacking it with the back of the screwdriver and it started sparking! i guess it must be the box!

    XR650L Won't start

I just checked the machine again today and it has no spark. I flipped the kill switch back and forth a bunch of times- still no spark. I guess I will have to check stator, pulsar etc.

    XR650L Won't start

I have here an XR650L. Year 2000, Immaculate condition 4kmi Customer says won't start. Once in awhile it does start. Most of the time you turn the key on-all lights come on etc. but it just cranks and won't light off. I've checked valve clearance, replaced spark plug, spark seems good, tried a brand new battery, cleaned out the enrichener circuit in the carb, same problem. Starting fluid will not start this bike. When it does start, it starts instantly and runs perfectly. I'm running out of ideas on this one. Any help appreciated.
  15. This a 2001 Polaris Magnum 325. when I start it cold and put it in reverse, it just quits. It is fine if I put it in either high or low forward. I'm about 99% sure it is electrical because when I unplug the electrical connectors on the transmission it doesn't do it. Once it has been running it seems OK , the problem is when started cold. Has anybody seen this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Ken
