    03RM 250 NEED OPINIONS

A FRIEND OF MINE TOOK HIS BIK APART BECAUSE IT WAS LOW ON POWER. FOUND HIS PISTON LIKE THIS. I TOLD HIM I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE DUE TO LEAN CONDITION BUT LOOKING FOR OTHER PEOPLES THOUGHTS.

    Rekluse?

yes, i tried all different setups with it. at first i thought i liked it. didn't realize how much i disliked it till i took it out. i have rode some 2t's with them and i think they are a good asset. but for me, not so much

    Hare Scrambles

i am not familiar with sera but i raced the southeastern shootout co sanctioned by sera, setra and msxc and it was a 2 hour race. 3 depending what class you are in and where you fall from the leader

    Tire choices for woods riding

i think you might be meaning the m-12 for the mud with its dished lugs it is very good for mud. for southern indiana's hard pack with ruts, roots and rocks, i love the s-12's. and if you want to kick anybody in the nuts, hop ur canuck butt on a plane and try.

    Rekluse?

I race the ama mid south, southern indiana grand prix and indiana cross country series. i have had a rekluse in my 450x. honestly i felt like let too much torque go when pulling a corner in 3rd gear. took it out and fell in love with my bike again. i have many friends that have them, they all love them because they dont have to work as hard.in my opinion i think it makes beginners more consistent and lets them have fun and takes good riders and makes them lazy.

    07 crf 250 hard start

i am goin to be working on this bike for a 16 year old kid. i was just curious if these had the same intake valve problems as the 450's. i know it needs rejetted but i have not looked at the bike yet so im not sure of the conditions of the internals.

    05 linkage

i am looking at buying a 05 450r linkage for cheap. i know physically it will fit, but they have different honda part numbers. does anybody know if the handling characteristics would differ? how would they differif so?

    05 forks

You aren't kidding about hard to get out. Ended up drilling a small hole through the piston where the face of the seal rides and knocking it out. Since it is on the metal side of the seal and it seals on both sides we are good to go. Too bad suspension shops are the only ones who carry that size seal, had to express ship from race tech to be ready for a race sunday.

    05 forks

Would the floating piston be the one above the comp valve that has bushings on it? Is there just an o ring or is there a center seal also

    05 forks

Blew a fork seal Sunday. Last night I took my forks apart to repair. Disassembled inner chambers to do some swapping on my rebound stacks. After bleeding all the air out and installing the compression stacks I moved the piston rod through full stroke. One returned all the way to the bottom. The other would not return. I can pull it down but the spring pressure will make it pull back up. I have tried this several times with the same results. I slide the cartridge in as I am pulling the piston rod down so there shouldn't be much trapped air. Is it possible that I have a bad oring causing fluid to pass when compressing the cartridge then sealing when I extend it?
