    Anyone replaced front brake line?

I switched to a fastline braided line (WR routing) and it certainly firmed things up as compared to the OEM cable. You will not be sorry with this mod! fershy

    any one using quiet pipes

Kevin I believe the Stocker comes in at around 84 decibels. My Powercore was reputed to be about 104db and the Big Gun reputed 94 db. I can tell you the Big Gun system I now use falls somewhere between the two sound levelwise. IF you do not need Spark Arresting, buy a Stock YZ and restrict hte end outlet for the times you need to go stealthy. Pay attention to repacking the silencers at regular intervals as these bike have a penchant for eating the packing. fershy

    Wanted-stock yz426 silencer

Well the seat of the pants "buttometer dyno" tells me the FMF makes more top then the stocker. The FMF has a Spark Arrester screen which I forgot to mention. If you are riding trails it seems to be a responsible necessity. Both will run well with stock jetting but can stand to be fine tuned. Both pipes will awaken beast that is being stiffled by the CAD WR pipe.Night and Day! Flash factor, you have to give the nod to the FMF. Dollar to HP gain, the YZ OEM. Do you need a Spark Arrestor? FMF. fershy

I have a stock YZ pipe off a 2000 YZ426 In very good shape for $85+$15 US for shipping $110+$15 with the header. (Nice having a spare) Or an FMF Powercore IV in excellent shape, maybe a half dozen rides for $200 shipped. This pipe makes some serious HP. Paypal works for me. cable lube, what to use?

My experiences with various lubricants has led me to use a light weight lubricant with a teflon additive. This seems to yield the lightest and smoothest pull. WD40 is alright but something with teflon will work better. Liquid Wrench with teflon is one product that comes to mind although there are numerous others IMHO. fershy
