Made this for my son for Christmas

Very cool unique gift, one he will probably keep for the rest of his life. Your a lucky guy to be able to share a sport you are interested in with your kids who also enjoy it. My millennial son now 22 has no interest in riding probably because all of his friends are not interested either, when I was his age all I wanted to do was ride. Different strokes I guess. I am also from NJ where I used to ride the gravel pits and pine barrens of south jersey, to bad it is now illegal to do so these days but that is a rant for another time. Enjoy the time with your kids...

Best trails in Gorman/ Hungry Valley?

Get there early, leave early, best way to avoid the idiots.
  6. Nice score on the RMX. Stock spark plugs for these bikes is a BR9EV, switching it out for a BR8EV which is a hotter plug really wakes these bikes up also. Made a huge difference for my RMX.

    Let's see the RMX's (an PE's?)

    Extreme riding, old school style

I still have a pair of those Hallman leathers, they don't fit any more but I still have them. Roger D used to wear them also.
  9. Hi, I just tore down my 93' RMX and found the EXACT SAME THING! with the powervalve, as you had, in every detail. Any word on how yours came out, would be much appreciated! 1, midvalve slotted, and 1 not. Its looks like we both caught the problem in the nick of time.

Mine came out good. With the new parts it went together correctly, just follow instructions in manual to preload. I used some blue locktite on all the screws also.

Have over 500 miles on the bike since and still running strong.

      Good luck on yours...

Sorry for getting back late, So I assume that you bought new mid valves plates with the nub integral with the plate. Or did you use that bolt and slotted nut combo again. OEM replacement from Suzuki has them built in.? Thanks for the reply.

It's been a while so I don't really recall the details but I did buy the OEM parts from Suzuki and did use the slotted nuts. As I said, just use some loctite on those screws for insurance.

What did you listen to as a teenager thread?

I think we can all agree on this.
  11. Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't notice that but it does make sense to run it on the inside of the fork leg.
  12. Fix the Brake line, not sure what you mean, am I missing something? I do like the plywood idea though.
