  1. "I could've used more VELCRO on the seat"
  2. Thanks for the info guys. Since I am new here, any help I can get is really appreciated. While the article seems contradictory to the instruction manual, it does have a lot of good points. I will try it this way. What is the worst that could happen? I have to plunk down another six grand...no problem!! Thanks guys.
  3. I just bought a CRF250 today. I pick her up tomorrow. I wrestled with the 450/250 question for so long. Decided on the 250 since I ride more woods. Anyhow, my big question is, how do I break this thing in? I have heard baby her soft and gentle, as per the instruction book, and I have also heard, ride her like a hooker, hard and fast? Any ideas? Thanks. Grinning like a banana, only bigger.
  4. I made my first post the other night and you guys were quite helpful. Very much appreciated. Now, I have another question. I am getting ready to buy, still up in the air about a CRF450 or the CRF250. Anyway, as for when to buy, should I get it before the Honda deals run out on December 31, or can I still get great deals in Jan/Feb. Right now, I can get the 450 for $5,899, + tax OTD. No freight or any of that other BS. However, the Honda deals are only until 12/31. Take the plunge now, or wait? You guys are more expereinced than me! Thanks in advance.

  6. I meant to say I could get the CRF450 or the CRF250...that is what I am deciding between. Thanks!
  7. I could really use some of the guidance of you guys...I have done tons of reading, but it will not compare to the valuable information you can provide me. Here is my dilemma. I can get a great deal on both a CRF450 and the 250. My problem is, which one? Money is not an issue. Historically, I have ridden predominantly woods/trails, hence my reliable XR250 (try not to laugh at me, but I want...NO NO NO, NEED more). However, as land use is becoming more of an issue, I am finding myself beating the XR on MX tracks around here. So now I am riding 50/50 woods/mx. I need a bike that can still be a great woods bike as I am getting into harescrambles. I have done so much reading on these bikes, that now I am totally confused. Do I even want a CRF for the woods riding with the occasional track mixed in? Any help from you guys would be gratly appreciated.
