    STM slipper clutch works wonders!

I agree! I have one in now for about 8 hrs or riding. (DRZ) It's a different bike, for the better.

Were is the DR Z400 power?

I can agree with the stock DRZ being a lunker for offroad. Even street. But My DRZ 400 is bike #18 for me and 37 years of two wheeling. I have sunk alot of money in this bike, (too much to ever recover) but it is now the way I like it! It is now a great urban assult vehicle. Perfect weight and balance. Fine for "Track days" and primary and secondary roads. Highway, never. As for a true dualsport? It gets great press. And I guess it is pretty worthy of the title. But like most anything I get, I end up going a little bit too far for what it maybe worth to others. Overall a great bike, no regrets what so ever.

    slipper clutch woes

I just installed my STM clutch last night. Ran the bike for 20/30 mins. Warmed up well. Everything ran great, clutch worked as expected. Very pleased. Towards the end of my test ride i did notice that finding neutral was tricky. I hope to make an adjustment soon to work it out. However, did you follow the manufactures instructions? I found them lacking some details that I had to use my best judgement on. I have to ask a stupid question: My instructions states to leave out (2) thin rings from the original clutch. Did yours? Also, is the pressure plate installed the right way? If I can help, let me know. Good Luck.

    Finally, A Slipper!!!

Hello Eddie, Thanks for the previous information on the slipper clutch install. Well I picked mine up and took my old clutch out. When I went to install the hub, I was faced with something that made me bullsh-t! The problem is that the hole in the shaft is to small! My reason for telling you this is to see if you have heard of this problem with anyone else? The package and instructions say Suzuki DRZ 400. I guess I’ll contact STM and see what they can do. Thanks for hearing me out.
  5. I need to get your opinions on this: When someone posts a picture of their bike. And the shot captures the license plate. Is there any reason to worry about it? I have post pic’s of my bikes that shows the license plate. I have noticed some people blank the plate out. What are the pros and con’s? Thanks for any feed back.

    Stm/drz400

Awesome! Eddie Thanks for the pic’s. That’s a lot more useful info, than I thought I would ever get. It looks like a pretty standard clutch change out? Is there any tweaking? I mean once you close it, it would really suck to open again. And the all-important question, is it a great a mod, as I hope it will be? Thanks again for the help

As far as it goes for installing a STM slipper clutch on a DRZ. Is there anyone who can advise me on any tricks (if any) on the how to? And is that special STM tool required? Thanks.

Question: just how loud is a Yoshimura?

The system is as loud as you make it. I will creep in/out of the hood without any trouble. But if you fire it up, anyone within 100 yards will hear you.

    Yosh Exhaust Buzzing?

I agree, no doubt about it for mine. Whenever I throttle back, it will rattle a bit. No visible signs of were. No harm as far as I can see.
