  1. OK long winded post alert. Just got a used 2006 EXC 450 and took at riding today. The air temp was around 45° and I noticed straight away that there was a little bit of coolant coming out of the weep hole below the water pump. The bike was not overheating so I continued to ride it, until we went up a fairly long he’ll climb and about 3/4 of the way up it boiled over in a magnificent cloud of the The air temp was around 45° and I noticed straight away that there was a little bit of coolant coming out of the weep hole below the water pump. The bike was not overheating so I continue to write it, until we went up a fairly long he’ll climb and about 3/4 of the way up it boiled over in a magnificent cloud of steam. My initial thought was that it was possibly the water pump seals due to the fact that a little bit of coolant had come out of the Weep hole at first, but after that little bit a scape early in the ride nothing else came out of the Weep hole. I did drain and replace the coolant before the ride with no knowledge of the fact that I shouldn’t bleed the system, is it possible that not bleeding the system and air inside it lead to it overheating? Or is there anything else you guys could think of? I would like to cover all of my bases before I get into replacing seals on the water pump that I do not for sure know are bad
  2. I am planning on riding it on the street to Jeep trails. I wouldn’t necessarily say tight single track but I’m not ruling it out. I’m looking at two bikes today that are near my price range. The mxc 525 and also a 2003 sxc 625 with a revloc clutch installed
  3. I am currently looking at an mxc 525 it’s an 05. Can I get some real world input on that?

  8. i put a new piston in my 08 sxf 250 and now i am second guessing wether i got the whole cam to crank orientation right if i have the piston at what appears to be tdc where should the cams both be (i.e. where do the lines on the gears line up?) where do i find an indication of where tdc ignition is? and are there any indicators as to if i do/dont have it togetger right so i dont start it and blow my brand new motor out the bottom of the crank case i intended on buying a manual but got broke so your help is much appreciated

when i took it apart they were round about 100 inch lbs so do u mean that the nuts get a looser torque???
