  1. [supermoto USA NW] Sept 12/13 Season Finale. Pacific GP Supermoto USA NW 2009 Series is hitting the home stretch. Our last event at Pacific GP for the 2009 season is setup for Sept 12th and 13th. As many of you know, the economic crisis has hit pretty much everyone very hard, including our tracks, our sponsors and our promoters. We are asking you to help keep our sport going. We need a show of force to keep all these businesses that help us race to stay viable, so we can continue to race next season. Here is the schedule for the event: Saturday: 9/12 9-5pm: Open Practice on south course with dirt section. Sunday: 9/13 7-9am: Registration 8:45: Riders Meeting 9-10:30 Practice rounds (5 groups, 2 rotations each) 11am: Heat Races 1:30pm Mains We will be running the entire class list, include Open Quad and Quad Pro. 2. Supermoto USA NW Round 3 is being brought to Airway Heights (Spokane) through the hard work and dedication of Randy Whitney and KDR Powersports. We have classes for every type of motorcycle and or quad -- From minis to pro riders (including knobbies or DOT tires too!). If you have never been there, the Karting facility is an excellent race track with plenty of passing opportunities. The dirt section will be in the same location as last year. There is plenty of on site camping. No RV hookups but there are showers. If you are looking for a hotel, I recommend the microtel in Airway Heights. It is less than 5 minutes from the track. Saturday Schedule: Pricing: $25 Gates open 9am. We will be alternating practice sessions with Karts until dusk. Sunday Schedule: Class Pricing will be as normal (60/30/10) and gate fee is included for riders. Non Racer gate fee is $5. Pro class entry will be slighly different this round. Gates Open - 8 am Practice - 9 - 10:30 am Riders Mtg 10:45 am Qualifying - 11:15 am Heat Races start - 12:15 Randy and crew are looking for volunteer corner workers to help keep the event moving. If you can help, or know someone who can, drop him an email (r.whitney@live.com) Map of track and directions: http://www.spokanekarting.org/map.html Here is some video of last years event: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=39220666
  3. After 3 years of scheduling races at this track, it's finally happening... Supermoto USA comes home to Pacific GP! The pavement is down, the grass is growing, the dirt section will be completed today. The surface is perfect for racing, there are passing opportunities everywhere. This track is everything it's been hyped to be. The experienced WHR Motorsports crew will be running this event and this is the second round of the 2009 Supermoto USA NW Series. We have classes for everything from pee wees, beginners to pros, knobbies and quads (amateur and pro). The last step is simple: You showing up to race with all your buddies. In other exciting news, our series has a new title sponsor: I-90 Motorsports in Issaquah, Wa! I-90 has been sponsoring supermoto riders for the last 8 years, now they are stepping up and supporting the whole series. Here is all the details about the event: Saturday 6/27/2009: 9am to 1pm (Morning Practice Session) 1pm to 6pm (Afternoon Practice Session) Normal PGP Practice rates for Members are $40 for 1/2 day, $60 for whole day. Non Members typically pay $20 more for practice at PGP. Family members pay 1/2 price for the first child after the first adult practice fee. We are not 100% sure these last 2 items will be in effect or not for this particular saturday. PGP has fairly tight tech requirements (mostly in regards to peg and axle sliders). Please read this (http://www.supermotojunkie.com/showthread.php?t=81280) for the exact details. 4. http://www.ekdayssupermoto.com/ If you don't know what Evel Knievel days is all about: its an excuse for roughly 60k people having a reason to travel to the hometown of Evel Knievel. It's a huge celebration of motorsports and the attendance for spectators for all the events is free! The site for the whole event is http://www.knieveldays.com/ We (the supermoto community) have been asked/begged/pleaded with to participate again. We were prominently focused on local TV commercials and advertising. There was even a full 5 minute segment on us for the nightly news. Last year we were about 10 blocks away from most of the action, but it didn't keep roughly 4000 people from walking down to see the main event. This year, we are right in the heart of the action! http://www.ekdayssupermoto.com/ I know the site is fairly ugly, but at least all the info is there, including a pretty good depiction of what the track layout is going to be (You can't tell the elevation change though...) We will have the pre-registration open in the next day or so. I will post an update when xtrm event is ready. If you have any questions about the supermoto part of event that are not answered there, please let me know.

    Hinson BTL Clutch

Just make sure the retaining ring is in right side up. After that it's simple stuff. If it's not, it will work for a while, until that one time when you put too much pressure on it and it pops off. This happened to me at the start of a huge race in 2008. I jumped the start by about 30 seconds (and had to ride right off the track)

    Golden Spike HS Coming Soon

Thanks a ton to the group that put this event together. I had a complete blast in the supermoto race. I can't thank you enough for swapping the first race so that I could make it there in time. Giving us that sighting lap helped a ton too. This event is on my list of things I need to do again! Next time I'll 2x check the google maps route: I got to see all side of mt rainier since the pass is still closed on 410... DOH! After an hour of solid track time, I still can't remember the corners. And when I put the vid together now I know why: ~42 turns a lap!!! So, here is my helmet cam footage of the start of our first heat and the first lap.
  7. Friday 5/22 Schedule: 12-6pm: Open Practice Cost is $40. Team race following with huge trophies for the 1-3 place teams in each class. Each rider will be on the track for 2 sessions. Teams will be assigned for every rider interested in participating. 8. Supermoto Challenge -- April 3-5, 2009 -- Primm, Nevada -- Presented by WHR Motorsports -- The Stateline Challenge for 2009 is just around the corner and we here to bring you up to speed on what's going on for this years event. In this email we going to keep it simple and stick with information about the event, registration, class structure, a tentative schedule and a quick note about hotel rooms. Read on. First things first: We want to apologize for the late notice about pre-registration. We've been working as hard as possible to solidify all the details with the new venue before we sent this information out. Everything is now all sorted out, so it's time for game on. The Stateline Supermoto Challenge event will be held at the same general location, Primm Nevada, but the race event will be across the street to the South and next to the outlet mall. There's a huge amount of room for the pavement section, and out to the east is all open so there's plenty of room for an awesome dirt section. We have the whole east side of the mall parking lot, so pit space isn't going to be a problem either. In fact, the track layout is longer than what had previously done at Buffalo Bills. The new track will be located in the parking area on the east side of the mall which also allows us more access to the facilities than we have had in the past. On to what you need to know about registration. Pre-registration will open February 1, 2009 (tonight) at midnight PST. You'll need to get on line tonight at midnight and register early for your grid position. Registration order will set the grids for all classes except the Pro class, 450 class, and Quad Pro class, which will be set by pea pick on race day. Also, register for any class and you'll get two, no charge practice sessions on Friday. Which Slipper Clutch to get?

Hard Parts + 1000. Cheaper, simpler, easiest to adjust, no funky click at the lever, no ball bearings etc.

    United Motors SMF 200 Competitive?

here's a killer: DRY WEIGHT 275 LBS I'm guessing here, but 15-20hp? Hmm, more weight than my 450 and less than half the hp. Plus all the build quality of a knock off that no one has ever heard of no thanks.
  13. + 10hp and -10lbs. You do the math.
