    1. I do live in Magnolia, TX. 2. You can't race a yz80 in the 4-stroke mini class 3. I can't believe you don't have a money tree. Best investment I ever made!

You probably need a bigger pilot jet. Stock is 12.5 and you need a 15. Should be lots of them floating around here since that's what everybody replaces in their ttr125. Also, try setting the air/fuel screw as per the manual, and make sure the choke is operating properly. Even if you get it running with the air/fuel screw or by fixing the choke, you will want to replace the pilot jet. 12.5 is fine for the stock bike, but once you start to do any breathing mods it gets too lean in a hurry.

    Anybody need YZ front end?

Wow! Must be springtime. Everybody is ready to ride. I had three front ends and they are gone. I have a line on a couple more and should have them in a week or so. I've got some KX65 front end kits for the TTR90 available though. Thanks TT'rs! I can't wait to see the pics of the newly modded bikes.

"KLX Eater" TTR90 with KX/RM65 Front End

I posted this on the TTR90 mod sticky above, but not everyone sees that and I wanted all you TTR90 guys to see what your bike is capable of. This may not be the coolest, fastest 90 on the planet, but it's got to be in the top 3 or 4. Anyway, here is the post I added to the sticky. Tell me what you think. Finally - Almost finished TTR90 "KLX Eater" with KX/RM 65 front end. It's taken a while and we never started out to build it but all that's left for now is an ASV brake lever and a new set of pre-printed number plates from DeCal works. Here are the pics: click here Here are the specs: Engine Mods: Wiseco 110cc 11:1 compression piston CrowerPower Cam Port & Polish head cut flywheel 24mm Mikuni Carb enlarged intake runner, port matched BBR pipe (modified) 2 brothers pit boss pod filter Iridium plug YZ kill switch 15t front sprocket Suspension Mods: RM65 front end, forks, triple clamps, wheel, disc brakes Works Performance rear shock with remote reservoir LSE fork stabilizer Dunlop 773 front & rear Frame & Controls: PRC anodized chain guide PRC anodized front sprocket cover YZ80 foot pegs TAG Metals T2 fatbars and pad TAG Metals bar clamps Pro Grip grips ASV brake reservoir rotator clamp (lever on order) UFO YZ blue front fender N-Style Graphics & seat cover DeCal Works number plate graphics We've had the motor together for a while and it's been a regular holeshot winner in the 4-stroke mini class, but just couldn't keep up with the big wheel bikes with the stock front suspension. The RM/KX65 front end has made a HUGE difference. Now I'll answer your questions: 1. I have no idea how much I've got into it. I don't want to know. 2. The front end conversion is easy. No special tools except a hand grinder to take off a little metal from the steering stops on the TTR frame. A spacer is required. 3. I don't know if my son would sell it or not. You'll have to ask him. Eric Williams 4. Amsoil 5. 1/2 Tek 111 race fuel, 1/2 93 octane, although it would probably run fine on 93 octane. 6. Yes, I have two complete kits for front end conversions. Everything you'll need. Forks, triple clamps, bearings, front wheel with tire, axle, aftermarket bars, new grips, complete disk brake system, spacer, instructions ... everything you need except a blue UFO fender. PM me if you are interested. I'll be happy to answer any other questions you have. My son and I have built this bike in stages over the last year and a half and have had a great time with it. It's fun to leave the KLXs in the dust when the gates drop.

    quick 90 carb Q

RyanK The previous owner must have put in a bigger jet (main or pilot)...or drilled the stock main jet out. You are right. With opening up the breathing you should be running lean instead of rich. I don't have the original carb on mine, but I think the stock main is a 90 if I remember correctly. Order a 95 and play with the airscrew a little bit if you think it's a main jet problem. If you are curious about whether the other guy drilled out the main, just measure the new jet with the one that's in there using the shank end of small drill bits. You mentioned that the bike doesn't get much WOT, so I would probably check the pilot jet first, since that's the jet he probably runs on most of the time. I think the stock pilot is 112.5. If you already have a 115, you could go back to the 112.5 and see if the bottom and mid range throttle response is still crisp. If it is, then that might fix your problem.

    TTR90 backfiring thru the carb.

Does kind of sound like a timing issue. That would be quick to check and easy to fix! Good luck.
