  1. Yamaha

Yup I bought an 08 and the suspension is far better that the trx450 I had! So I'm in the process of tearing it all down to put in a new topend and check the lower end, getting the head ported +12oz trail tech flywheel, suspension rebuilt and revalved , I got an ims 3.8 gal gas tank for those long rides , I got some avs shorty levers, lonestar +2 +1 steering stem fasst flex bars with cyclra hand guards and looking for some tires now
  2. Yamaha

    Nothing .... Gezzz Thanx
  3. Well I'm in the market for a yfz450 but I'm not sure what yr and what to look for and what to stay away from any info would greatly be appreciated! I bought my girl a 04 660 raptor an I reallly like it and so does she but the suspension and the rear swingarm is just to harsh an I've owned an 05 trx450 an it was great only complaint I had was first gear was just too high for tight woods riding. I've seen alot of 06-08's for sale In my price range

  5. I have a 2000 RM250 and I went with the 10oz FWW and it helped alot but I wish I would have went with the 12oz .. And I changed outthe stock aluminum clutch basket for a billet Barrett basket and it is pretty smooth now with no hair like trigger clutch action ... I went with an fmf fatty and over all power was improved but nothing too amazing
  6. How many turns out in your air screw? Anything over 2 1/2 turns u need a smaller pilot... .5 turns out and you would need a richer pilot.. Hope this helps. And my guess on why u didn't get any post back it is the weekend and people r probly out riding .. I know I was..
  7. Yup my stock carb was pwk also so the slide was the same. When I swapped the slides out I had to go from 5th clip on the needle down to the 2nd clip an it ran very good ... The best it ever has .. Lil bit of spooge but I'm ok with that.. Yea my gf and I go riding as much as we can but she rides a quad so I don't get to hit the single tracks much but depending on that we would be down for some riding
  8. Well I'm happy with the jetting now. Runs great Pilot 42 Slide #6 Needle - A715 289R ,2nd clip Main- 180 A/S-1 3/4 turns out. The air striker carb came with a slide was a 7 an it was just too lean and the #6 from the stock carb worked great .
  9. Yea it's all good man thanx for ur help. The stock needle I already knew was gonna be too lean being the dgk was richer than the stocker so I ordered a DGJ, DEJ, and a DGH being the richest every where outta the 3 so hopefully the needles make it here by the weekend so I can nail this down . This Bike has never ran so good and I'm not even spot on yet! Lol the BOGG is gone
  10. or maybe a chart with the keihin needles by diameters? so i can go off of that
  11. so i got the measurements on the needles first needle is the stock suzuki needle oem# 13383-37EQO needle# N3WK diameter from top down 1- 2.74mm 2- 2.62mm 3- 2.29mm 4- 1.79mm toal length 65.60mm this needle in the stock 00 rm 250 was just way too lean so i bought a air striker carb for a swap out and the needle that came with the air striker is A715 289R A327 A487 from what i can find this is the stock 00 cr250 needle from a mikuni carb... is this true? well the bike does run alot better on this needle but is still just alil lean overall and will ping alil after fully warm from 1/2 -3/4 but wot is good.. the stats on the A715 289R are oem#16203-KZ3-J21 needle# A715 289R A327 A487 diameter from top down 1- 2.70mm 2- 2.62mm 3- 2.36mm 4- 1.80mm total length 65.65mm i would really liko find a starting point from the A715 289R needle but in the 3 digit keihin needles... if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly apprecated...and from what little info find the closest needle would be a keihin DGK but idk ...
