    Polaris 90 AMA racing

I appreciate the input. If anyone else knows of some things that can be done please feel free to help. We need all we can get.
  2. I am helping a friend of mine work on a ATV that is a spin off of the 2006 Polaris Predator 90cc. Here are some of the changes we have made: chain gears, piston, reed valve change to a carbon fiber reed, clutch and variator change and bought the recommended tires for the ATV. The ATV takes off from the line great but, the kid is not getting enough top end. I know the back sprocket is 25 tooth and the front is 20, but I do not remember the tire size in the rear. The ATV needs more power I think. Any suggestions?

    04 vavle clearance specs?

Sure thing. I will get it to you today. I was not sure if you got one or not because it took ya a while to respond. Hope you get it fixed. I have a friend of mine that his son is racing AMA in our area with a 90 ATV. We have been searching for horse power for that thing but have run out of ideas without a lot of money involved. If you know of any any great people or sites for that type of information the reciprocation would be appreciated! I will get the manual to you in a bit. My wife is on the laptop that I use to access the manual when I work on the bike in the shop.....
  4. Here's a thought. If the price in a store for an item is marked wrong the store has to give it to you for that price, so if they have the ad listed for a dollar they have it listed wrong. Okay, yea I know that was a little far fetched, but I do agree that putting a dollar up for the list sucks. I also agree with the listing several models thing. I f want to look for a Honda or Yamaha dirt bike, I don't want to look at Harley Davidson bikes!!!

    04 vavle clearance specs?

I have a PDF manual for the bike. Post me an e-mail address and I will send it to you.
  6. No doubt! I don't know why the hell they do that. I guess they think after I read the post I will be more apt to buy the bike they list. I wish they would realize that listing the $1 sign and then posting the bike for 3k or what ever, pisses me off and makes me leave the ad before I even read it. I like what you reply to them with, and I think I will start doing that too!!LOL

    Help please!

Did you loosen the chain or move any of the adjusters before you worked on the pads? I have seen more than one post on chain slap with acceleration. Also, don't start looking for a bunch of other "possibilities" if the noise did not occur until you did the brakes then it more than likely has something to do with that. My 04 450r has the slap noise right now and I just have not had time to correct the problem. I learned about it through this forum. the thing about the chain is; did it do it before you worked on the brakes? If not and you did not mess with the adjusters when you worked on the brakes, I would not think the chain would suddenly start slapping. Make sure the chain is running strait on the sprockets and the rotor and chain is not out of line. This can make pads make noise. (of course they would have to be way out of line to cause this, but if the adjusters for the wheel were tampered with,it could be possible if you are not careful).

    Tranny oil is STILL grey.

You might want to look at the case. My bike had some marks from the basket on the case for some reason that noticed when I replaced the water pump shaft. I don't know why the basket is hitting the case but I have not had any trouble out of the clutch operation from it hitting. I think the basket finally made a groove so it is clearing the case, but I would love to know why it hits the case. Anyway, the aluminum case shaving could be your gray color too, check it out.

    2004 Crf450r

I got my 04 crf450 this summer and I have loved every second on this bike. I do not race, but I ride on farms and trails around our home. The bike has a lot of torque and your friend will find that after ridding a while he will hurt in his shoulders from the bike snatching and hauling a$$ when he twist the wick!! Awesome bike and fun to ride!

BLM/Forest Service Incident This Weekend Updated!!!!

I wonder if the mention of using meth might get someone watching you. I hope I never run into people using meth and riding where I live!
