    Thanks again, I put in the 150 main and 48 pilot with 2.25 out and red needle on clip position #4 and it seems to run fine.

    Thanks, I thought that sounded rich too but I was reading a reply to a post from Eddie and these were the settings for 5000-7000 ft. I saw another post for this altitude which said 150/38. I'm rarely above 8000 feet. Maybe I should go in the middle somewhere like 148/45?
  3. Hello, just bought a 2003 KLX400R that came from California. It has stock pipe, no air box mods. The bike has a 162 main and 65 pilot and has the JD jet kit with the blue needle. So here in Colorado what should I start with? Here is what I am thinking. 150 Main jet, 48 pilot jet, use the red needle and 2.25 out on fuel screw. Any help would be appreciated! Also, does anyone know if the 2003 KLX400R from California is exactly like the bike from other states or does tha California have additional emmission stuff on it? Thanks
