    How many watts can i expect to get out of a rec in the headlight ac circuit?

    Thanks for the response. So the charging system on this bike uses AC for the lighting circuit but DC for everything else if I understand correctly. Would running a LED straight off my battery, albeit with a hi/lo /off switch, work? Would the battery get a better charge since the AC circuit wouldn’t be powering anything? If I got a rec for the AC circuit, I assume that just get wired in line just before the light itself? Thanks for all the help! Also, would running a 55/65w bulb hurt in the mean time? I know the stock unit is 35/35w

    Headlight

    I've done some digging but haven't seemed to be able to find anything concrete on the topic. I need to replace my headlight, bulb is burned and the previous owner decided to chop the top of the plastic off the housing. Anyway, I know the stators are not the greatest on these bikes, but are there any LED options out that give sufficient lighting for night riding but don't require a rewind? At least good enough light to make it home is all that I need, but actually bright enough to ride would be nice. Thanks

    250x engine in FI frame?

    Also, there is a ‘10 250r with blown motor for sale relatively local for cheap and a 250x motor in pieces as well. Seems like it could be a fun build. FI would be nice for the elevation changes around here and trips to Colorado, Utah, etc

    Suspension can be re-valved, that’s no big deal to do when servicing it anyway. Intended use is for off-road. Reason for swapping into a newer chassis is the possibility of fuel injection and just the newer chassis and updates in general. Reason for the x motor is electric start and wide ratio transmission. I know with the r models pre ‘10, to swap the x tranny in requires the case housings and some other bits due to the longer shift shafts. Just curious if the motor mounts in any of the newer chassis are the same or at least close enough to not need extensive reworking and how closely the drive train lines up side to side from front sprocket to back sprocket? Mapping will likely be off for the FI but with mapping software that shouldn’t be hard to sort out?

    250x engine in FI frame?

    Any possibility to swap a 250x engine into a 2010 or newer crf250r frame? If so, what about getting the fuel injection working with said motor? Swap x and r heads? Any thoughts? I have access to CNC equipment so making things isn't much of an issue but at the same time I am hoping it drops in with maybe some custom spacers at most. Thanks for any input!

    Does the block off plate have an o-ring groove or nipple with o-ring groove on it that seals up the port? Looking to make one at work. An image of the back side of one would be extremely helpful! Thanks

    Won’t idle off choke

    Got it, thanks! Went back to a 48 pilot. Idles with the choke off now, but getting a bad hanging idle now. Suggestions?

    So I'm assuming the bottom nipple is the drain then. Is it possible if this doesn't have some sort of hose/filter attached to it, I'm ingesting too much air and causing some of my jetting issues? Doesn't seem that should be the case but who knows.

    How is the crankcase breather hosing routed? There’s two nipples at the bottom of my airbox, the crankcase breather connects to one, what goes to the other?

    Stator plug is good, fresh dielectric grease in it. Valves are in spec, and fuel screw installed correctly and turned 2 full turns out from fully seated.
