    Brazilian 37hp CRF300

My bro sent me this link, from what I can tell they've made this CRF230 into a 300cc beast with 38cv which converts to 37.46 horsepower My question is does anyone have any details on the engine work? Compression ratio? http://polacopreparacoes.com.br/crf230-300r-2/

Missouri Rush Springs Ranch in SW Missouri

http://www.rushspringsranch.com/ Had a great half day ride here last week, really challenging hill climbs and lots of regular difficulty trails, lots of steep elevation changes, almost all woods but some valley areas and gravel play areas too. Overall this is my favorite new place to ride around this area and the closest to me by far. I've ridden many, many times at Chadwic, Mill Creek, Disney and once at Mena (Wolf Pen Gap) and they are all great in their own ways but all about 2hrs from me, Rush is only 45 minutes away from me and has everything I need! It's smaller than the others I mentioned, closer to Disney's size maybe but still plenty of trails to ride. Excellent facilities, shower house, bathrooms, even bathrooms out on the trails. Trails aren't marked well yet but I'm sure they're working on that. One nice thing is the trails are all 2yrs old or less and are in very good shape, none of Chadwick's washed out trails here!

    Reger Front Caliper Bracket

Im sure reger appreciates this post.
  6. Hi Guys, I tested my CRF230 compression last night before tearing it down for a high comp piston and Web cam and I got 145-150psi. The book says it should make 188psi so I'm down on compression some where. I guess it's gotta be either rings or valve adjustment. I didn't have any proper valve adjustment tools so I went ahead and tore it down for the piston and cam and I'll test it again after break in. I've got valve tools coming in tomorrow so after it's back together I can check the gaps and adjust as necessary. Does anyone know what compression would be normal after the Wiseco 11:1 piston (using the WebCam 89a cam also)? Thanks, Fred

Is honing necessary for new rings?

Thanks guys, took it to the local shop to have them do it (hate to do that) but I wanted to put it back together tomorrow and nobody local had a ball hone.
  8. It doesnt mention cylindar honing in my cyclepedia manual, is it necessary for the 230?

Wiseco 11:1, found a good deal

Here's the link to the one I got CRF230F 11:1 high compression wiseco piston kit no gaskets but does come with the rings and pin and clips. I'll find a link for the gasket set too once I get them ordered.

Wiseco 11:1, found a good deal

Just to let everyone know I found the best price on the Wiseco 11:1 high compression piston for our CRF230s on Amazon - just paid $145 with free shipping (I'm an amazon prime member so free shipping for me). Also ordered the WebCam 89a cam but I bought it direct from WebCam, came out to $288 with an $87 refundable core charge. They kill you with a $39 shipping charge but oh well, it got great reviews on here and I need to keep up with my bro's 250X in the woods! Fred

So is 1506A what you call pipeline road? If so we got lost there one time and man it took us a while to get back to the trail head, what a day that was!

Dave, I put a black arrow on this map showing approximately where we found the trail, off the South end of Blue Loop. The darker shaded area shows where I believe to be a lot of good single track but I've not had a chance to explore more than one of them. Eventually the one we found popped us out on a road farther south than this map shows, we took a right on it and it got us eventually onto 101 and back to the trail head. Fred

Thanks I'll look for those next trip down! Last year we found some great trails on the back side of the park. Hard for me to describe where since I don't know the place as good as you but if you know where the scenic lookout is by one of the fire roads at the top of the mountain this trail is just to the right of the lookout and it's not marked or on the map. It snakes down the mountain, steep and tight, great stuff but not good for a beginner. Eventually you bottom out in a valley and tee up to a road. Hang a right on that road and you'll make your way back to the trail head eventually. I plan to hit that again next trip and then look for the trails you've found. I'd like to find that big rock you have pictures under too, good photo op! Fred Thanks I'll look for those next trip down! Last year we found some great trails on the back side of the park.
