I got the same email, but I’ll be in So Cal that week. We really need the TT forum to represent!

    Winter 2018/2019 California Snow Report

Rode Indian valley yesterday....just a few patches of snow down low in the shady spots and good dusting at the very top on the east side. Was a little slimey in the morning, but was perfect at the end of the day if you stayed low. Didn’t see any snow on the west side, but never made it over there. We ended up doing a little over 50 miles with a big group. Was the first ride on the bike after installing a new piston and valves myself....surprisingly with no issues after rushing to get it finished the night before.

    Northern CA two day rides

Do a search for Don Ivan DS rides.... your not likely to get much help on this topic, but if you need advice on how to tighten your chain or install a skid plate for the ride, there’s more guys here that can give you some helpful advice on that sadly than what your looking for.

What's your favorite World Famous Big Bob story?

Say what you want about WFBB, But he’s the only guy on this forum that organizes environmentally friendly quick rides in the best of conditions. The rest of you hooligans want to ride all day over difficult terrain when it’s cold and you get your bike all dirty and shit. WFBB rides use 50% less fuel, are done in half the time, and run no risk of injury due to difficult terrain.... Also you don’t get to be old and famous by getting into a career ending head-on on a packed Sunday at Georgetown by riding out front.... no way, you get the people you invite on the ride to take that risk.... brilliant! When I got home my wife asked why I was home so soon and if I was gonna need to wash my bike and gear....I said no, they didn’t get dirty, I was on a WFBB ride.

I can also tell you guys that IRC’s M5B that one of the guys in our group was running, tractered up some of the snotty sections with ease over my Shinko 525 cheater and my other buddies Shinko 505 cheater, and we both run Tubliss at 6 or 7 psi.....the M5B was king out there today at Chalk Bluff! Gonna go get one this week.

    Winter 2018/2019 California Snow Report

Was great! We rode the non marked.trails down by the power lines...the elevation was about 4500ft with patches of snow here and.there. Traction was great...we didn't make it all the way to the chalk bluff staging area, but.was.only a few miles.from there at most and snow was a little heavier in that area. We.staged out of dutch flat...lots.of people.there red.necking.

Anyone think downieville might be rideable by saturday?? Not sure what the snow situation is there, but considering going this weekend.
  11. So sad......in addition to the lives lost and homes destroyed, it looks like we’ll also be losing some more Nor Cal single track. Here’s some video from trails in the burn zone just a few miles from the intersection of Dixie and Concow rd. Don’t know if we’ll ever get these back. This if the fifth riding area to burn this year....Stoneyford, Middle Creek, Cow Mountain, Indian valley, now Rag Dump. I’m ready for winter weather and these fires to stop burning down my back yard. Pretty sure all these trails are gone.......

I've got a report for you.... Started off at Michigan Bluff and was mostly clear till trail 6 where we started running into a little more downfall.... we cleared what we could with small handsaws, and hoped a few logs here and there, but was all doable. We went past the Devils Thumb on to Last Chance and back to finish trail 6 going ccw was only 40 miles... weather was great. Next Sunday there's a foot race on the WST so heads up!
