    How many atc owners are out there?

    its a 3 wheeler 250r that he has, got it for free because of my 550-3 (200x)in the back of his truck.
  2. the problem i am having is that my stock forks are way to weak to hold the weight of the bigger motor and im only about 115. iv seen 3 wheelers with (upside down) freestyle forks on the front my question is where and how much are those kind of forks for an 85 200x frame?thank guy.

    sweet thanks man, now i just need a bigger secondary main jet. the oil is all good and it is ready for the desert. well new seat and plastics too.

    ya mine is all good i had my fabricator but an "X" tube in the frame in the back of the motor. the bottom is fully redone and welded i can land on a rock an be all good, and the down tube was cut off to get the motor lined up right and while is was we put 2 smaller tubed in it and welded the crap out of it, so i know the frame is super strong

    im almost done with my build its a 85 200x with an 82 yamaha 550xt motor. the motor has an oversized head on it as well. i call it the (yama-honda 550-3) 3-wheelers will never die. @ATC450r dude i love your bike thats been my dream bike from about 2 yrs now, congrats on it that thing is super nice. love it,

    ya definetly thats wat i think was the problem, the oil gravity fed down into the motor from the tank over night so ima fill it up some more, and bleed that oil filter, thats wat another guy said too, and ya wen im 100% done it will be pretty scary, i know it has an oversized head and piston,and i have the stock one still ready to go, i got the whole bike running good for 200 bucks total, and its a beast

    ok i had it going to the big air hose that comes out of the motor on the left side directly behind the clutch cable puller. with an rc truck air filter and it seemed to do the job right so thats how it will probably go back, as long as i know i have oil in the motor, im not to worried i can figure out the breather hoses, just thought it was wrong because i had oil leaking from the bottom off the motor but it was because the bolts around the whole case where lose, any idea of torque specs?

    yupp the oil goes into the frame, but i got it last night i needed to bleed the oil filter cause it wasnt changed at the time, DEATH WISH? hahahah nah man i love life. but this will get ya good, im 21 5'7 and only weigh about 115lbs. lol the bike the motor was in ran good but threw me around like no other, so had an idea to get back at all those 450 4 stroke riders, lol and the only reason they where banned is cause they actually take a little bit of skill to ride....lol

    ya last night i just let the oil sit in the tank and it drained into the motor, i think it was because i didnt bleed it through the screw in the top of the oil filter cover. i do drain them both separately as well, so today ill bleed that and get the rest of the oil in it, @dt200lc last weekend i took it out for the first time, and before i went i changed the oil, and it sucked it right in to the motor from the tank, but i changed the oil filter as well. i have a line coming off the tank as a vent and that started spiting oil out it while riding, so i thought to connected the vent line off the tank to the bleeder hose out the top of the motor to ensure the oil is getting back into the motor and not just losing it? i havent done this yet, good idea? thanks again guys alot of help already you guys are awsome.
  13. let me start off by saying i am new to the forum, alot of great storys and great addvise. my problem right now is i have an 82 xt550 motor in an 85 honda 200x 3 wheeler frame, it runs and is scary, iv had a few problems i am currently working out i am looking for someone i can get help from regarding this motor. right now my biggest problem is im not getting my oil into the motor, i have an oil tank like a harley that was custom built under the seat of the 3 wheeler. i drained the oil and put the recomended 2.1 qts in and it isnt going into the motor from the tank. i thought it wasnt so i pulled the drain plug and am getting no oil in the motor. the oil is just sitting in the tank, any addvise? what am i doing wrong any help would be much appriciated. thank you.
