  1. Anyone running one of these? https://www.wr-products.com/collections/wrp-cargo-rack-honda/products/wrp-mountain-tuff-loot-hauler-honda-xr400 If so, how do you like it? Does it mount to the two bolts on top of the fender that go through the subframe? It looks like it might not.
  2. Let us know what you end up doing, I have been thinking about shaving the seat down on mine. I am 5’9” and am on tip toes on flat ground. I do also need to make sure my sag is set correctly.

I bought these back in December for about $1000 from MotoXIndustries. I have put maybe 600 miles on them. They are super fun, I have just decided to go a different route with the bike. The wheels are 17x4.25 for the rear and 17x3.5 for the front and the tires are Shinko F003. They come with all the wheel spacers as well as the caliper bracket so you can use the stock caliper with the 320mm supermoto rotor. The sprocket has 45 teeth. One of the front rotor bolts has a magnet for an electronic speedometer (I was running a Trailtech). These are ready to bolt on and go!

  4. Hopefully you didn’t buy a used kickstand for $50. Looks like you can get a new one from Honda for under $40 https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda/50530-KCY-A10?ref=dcf8918647f639a3567c6ac752fcd7b428650d8b
  5. Not sure if I have posted this yet but here is my 81 XT500 Still needs some work but it’s getting close
  6. Yeah that’s true, on second thought, you should move to California
  7. Christmas came a bit early this year. I just threw on my new warp 9 wheels from motoxindustries.com. Everything went together pretty easily. I think they mislabeled the front wheel spacers though, the shorter one was labeled “rotor” but with it on the rotor side, the rotor scraped in the caliper bracket. With them swapped, everything lines up perfectly. I still need to set up the Trail Tech Endurance I bought with it. Looks pretty simple though.
  8. There is this one too, similar to other bottles that have been posted. https://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/lowbrow-customs-fuel-reserve-bottle-and-carrier-combo-save-3-95.html
  9. This is not mine but looks like it has some good mods: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=218&ad=35758334&cat=&lpid=&search=xr400&ad_cid=3
  10. They're called tank shrouds. As for what I did to my xr today, I rode it to work just like every other day
  11. Amazon has switches, the XR has a Nissin MC so it is 10mm x 1.25 http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0039ZTQEO/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1427054479&sr=8-1&keywords=tusk+banjo+switch&dpPl=1&dpID=31C5gAfWrYL&ref=plSrchπ=AC_SX200_QL40
  12. So how can I tell the length of the '901' bolts? For example, bolt 90105-105A7-00 is an M10 bolt but is there a way for me to tell from the part number how long it is? What about the thread pitch, can that be determined from the number?
  13. Ouch! That does sound bad! I am glad you caught it before it grenaded!
