    Tell me about the WR250

Huh, I never thought selection was limited, but I don't change my tires that often. The Bridgestone 403/404 combo is really nice. Right now I've got a Dunlop 803 on the rear and a Bridgestone ED11 on the front and I'm really liking both of these tires. Brad.

    Tell me about the WR250

Every person that I've let ride my 08 WR250 can't believe that people complain about the kick starter, and I've let quite a few people ride it. It's the best bike I've ever owned or ridden. Brad.

    250x shim assortment wanted

Mike - I'm glad they worked out. Sorry I couldn't have met you somewhere so you didn't have to drive all the way up here, but I had a busy weekend going on. Let's go ride together sometime, it would be nice for my wife and kids to have a family to ride with. Brad.

    250x shim assortment wanted

Mike - I'm not sure what I have going on this weekend yet, I'll let you know. Most of the stuff in Stillwater got closed as of Tuesday, so I doubt I'll be riding up there anymore this year. Also if you want to take a look at the shim calculator and let me know what size shims you need I'll let you know if I have the right sizes or not, either way the shims I have are yours if you want them, I probably have about 10 of them. Brad.

    250x shim assortment wanted

Mike - I've got a small stash of assorted sizes that I don't need any more and I'd be happy to give them to you. I also know how to check/shim them if you need any assistance. It's been a while since we rode together, I'm up in Loveland. Let me know, Brad. P.S. - Tri-City here in Loveland used to sell me individual shims when I needed them.

    CR85RB Bottom End

I've been researching and reading for hours all weekend and most of my questions have been answered, but I have a couple more that hopefully you guys can help me with. The connecting rod bearing on the crank end seized on the bike and I think I'm going to just buy a whole new crank assembly from Hot Rods. I've never pulled a bottom end apart before and so far I think I'm doing ok. My first question is will I need some sort of driver/puller to seat the new crank? Also where are you guys getting your flywheels pullers from? I've got the motor down the the flywheel on the ignition side and the clutch on the other. I saw some videos on youtube with a tear down on a CR250 that are somewhat helpfull, but the 85 is quite a bit different. There doesn't seem to be any play in the main bearings, so I didn't plan on replacing them. Do you guys have any suggestions on things I should replace when I'm in this far? Thanks, Brad.

KX, RM, SX, YZ,or CR 85?

$20 top ends would be nice, but they've got to be a little more than that. We strictly trail ride so which ever one I get her will get a flywheel weight right off the bat along with a spark arrester. It looks like Steahly makes a FWW for any of the 85s available. Brad.
  13. I'm looking for a used 85 for my 13 YO daughter and I was hoping for some input on which one of these would work best for her. I've been shopping for a week or so and based on my budget, $1000 max, it looks like 2002 to 2006, depending on the mfg. is what I'm looking at getting. From what I've read so far the KX or RM might be better due to the power valve. The power of an 85 won't be an issue for her, she can handle it. And a 4 stroke is out of the question, I'll never buy another one. TIA, Brad.
