  1. Hey guys, I bought my wife a 2009 150F & I’ve read a lot of the jetting post, but I’m still having some issues getting the bike to idle & run properly. I used to have a 07 250X, so I went through a lot of the same issues/mods/jetting w/ getting that bike up to speed. The question I have is the tool that is used to remove the stock plug that is in the air fuel screw hole. I can’t find the part number for that tool anywhere. I have found some kits on Amazon that look like the right tool and it’s for dirtbike carburetors, but I don’t want to order the wrong kit. Could someone help me with that part number? When I got the bike the card was gummed up because it had sat. I went to the carburetor (checked the jets again tonight), cleaned it up, drained the fuel and added some fresh 93. The bike will only Idle with the choke all the way on and cuts off when you turn it off. I haven’t done any of the mods yet, but I did buy the air fuel screw and the number 42 pilot jet. So I put the new pilot jet in and just now discovered that I can’t remove the plug. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Any other tips I should know to get this running? Do I have to do the power up kit? If not will the bike continue to run like crap? Thanks in advance! (Sorry if these have been asked 1000x) [emoji51]

The light bar is sweet man! It's made by Task Racing. They make light bars 6", 10" & 12" & helmet lights. I have the 12" hardware LightBar. Reason I don't have the ktm plug n play 12" is because the BajaDesigns is already plugged in. The LightBar is 6200 lumens @ 72 watts. It has a toggle switch for on/off to. It has the amber dust lens on it right now but I also have the yellow one for lighter dust. It's mounted to my Flexxbars by 2 aluminum tabs that are pinched by 2 bolts. Task racing makes aluminum mounts for over the plate mounting for bikes without headlights. They have battery powered ones to. The batteries last 4+ hours each. I have 2 batteries & 2 helmet lights. The little helmet light is 4800 lumens! They are almost as bright as my Baja ProXL (4900L). Best part about is that their stuff isn't that pricey. Check them out! Tell Mark Brandon from DirtHammers sent you. TaskRacing.com

Here's my 2014 350exc that I bought last summer as a leftover. I've been building it over the past year to get it to where I want it. I recently installed my graphics, so some of the pics are pre-graphics so you can see the Acerbis Flo-Orange plastics.

    AXP Racing HDPE Skid Plate

I'm a huge fan of aXp racing skid plates. I have one on my 2014 KTM 350exc & 2009 yz450f. They are thick as hell & quite. I've always used aluminum skid plates, but hated the rattling. They would get dented up & old looking after a few months too. I decided to try aXp because a buddy of mine has one of their skid plates & rad guards on his 2015 crf250l. I liked how his looked & said he never had any issues, so I ordered 2 for both of my bikes. I've had them on for close to a year & the graphics aren't even coming off. They still look to be in great shape & doesn't have the first sight of any kind of failure. There are no cracks, chips, warping, nothing & I have slammed the bottom of my bike down on some big log crossings. I ended up ordering one of their new chain guides a few weeks ago too. They make solid products & I'm a fan for life. Keep it up boys!

    KTM 350 EXC-F (2014)

I bought this bike as a leftover towards the end of the 2015 summer. I've had it less than a year & absolutely love it. I am an off-road rider coming off a 450, so the 350 was the best choice I could've made. I went w/ the EXC because I wanted a dirtbike w/ a tag & that's exactly what this is. It's nice not having to give up weight. power & performance just because I wanted a dualsport. I can ride national forest gravel roads, hit any trails then hit the tarmac to get home all without having to load & unload 2 different bikes. The 350exc does it all & is just as capable off-road as my yz450f was! It's not a bike I'd ride across country, but it is a bike I can ride to the mountains & back on. It is truly the perfect size for the avid enduro guy. It has a smooth, electric power that keeps building the higher the rpms go. Its torquey down low & will tractor up any hill. You will want to uncork it & get the ecu unlocked. The mapping is extremely lean & will cause the bike to over heat very easy. I removed the emissions, set the TPS to .64, added a FunnelWeb airfilter, put on a 350sxf muffler, added the TrailTech digital fan, got the ECU unlocked, installed the TT map switch, motohose kit (removes oem thermostat), Boyesen Supercooler & topped it off w/ EngineIce! She runs cool & like a champ now! I'm running a 14/51 gearing right now to, which is a happy medium for dualsport & singletrack here in North Georgia. This won't be my last 350!

    Softer seat options for EXC

Same here, the oem seat was ridiculous. Its what you'd want on your MX bike. It was no fun to ride w/ that seat. I'm not sure why they wouldn't put something a little less aggressive on their dualsport bikes at the very least. That was one of my first mods.

    Softer seat options for EXC

Here's my "SuperGripper" enduro seat by Seatconcepts. This one is awesome for my woods bike!! You can customize the colors some too, so that's always a plus. You can also see how much wider it is in the back, but then when your in the attack position on the tank, it's a normal size. I could ride aggressive with it or just cruise around. The one on my yz450 is so plush! They installed that on, the one on the KTM I did myself which was super easy. It came with good directions.

    Softer seat options for EXC

Love my Seatconcepts seat cover & foam. The foam is plush like memory foam & the cover is grippy/stylish. Monkey butt is a thing of the past & now I can ride all day & night without thinking about how bad my ass hurts[emoji15]. Their seats are handmade in the US & the quality is next to none. I have one on my Offroad setup yz450 & now on my 350exc. They seem to be what most of the dualsport & ADV guys are running too. That's how I came across them. Their customer service it another plus. Just my 2cents!
  11. Take a look at MotionX-GPS for iPhone. I ended up buying it ($3 I think) because it had such good reviews on KTMtalk & on the app reviews itself. It works just like a GPS & works even if your not in service. It's got a ton of features & works like it should. Great app. A lot of adv/dualsport guys use it & really like it. I'm still learning to use all the features but so far I'm really liking it. It's worth checking out.

    2014 KTM 350 EXC F

I just picked up a new 14 350exc & immediately did all the mods everyone is talking about. I went w/ a 14/51 sprocket ratio which works great for both. I picked up an extra 13T sprocket to try out later. I pulled all the emissions stuff off & I'm taking my bike up to KTM World in the next week or so to get the EU map installed. I added a Trailtech fan for the gnarly stuff too. I bought a stock 2014 350sxf muffler from a guy offline & switched it out w/ the oem one so she could breath a little better ( I got an oem sxf muffler was because it was brand new & dirt cheap). Last for the cheap & simple upgrades I bought the TPS tool from www.TPStool.com for $36 & adjusted my TPS to .66 which seems pretty good. Theres still a little pop, but she starts right up & runs great!

    The TPS adjustment thread

Thanks man. I'll do that. I should have the bike completely back together by Saturday so I can ride Sunday. I'll take the TPS tool & voltage meter with me to tweek it. Do you think I'll need to go alot higher w/ the mods I have right now?

Pics of your 06-09 yzf 450

Here's my 09! I've done a lot to it since last time I posted a pic. This bike has all the off-road goodies & handles great! I hate to sell it, but I bought a new bike & it's time for a new project. I've got a ton of extra parts for this thing too!
