  1. My advice is to keep your bike and get a trailer or something and a good mountain bike. You're in the middle of a developing mountain bike heaven. It can be just as fun and its close by. On the weekends make the longer driver to the mountains with your YZ. There is too much traffic to enjoy a street bike IMO. Riding logging roads on a dual sport is boring.

    Tanuem tomorrow 9/10

I can't make tomorrow but I was thinking about heading to taneum on Saturday. I'm looking for riding partners for the same reason. I live in kenmore.

Clarke 4 gal tank install on 2013 and up Beta's

I was going to order one of these but everyone is out of stock and I was told they are out of production. Not sure what I'm going to get now. Maybe just a rotopax on the back.

    How to help our sport

I was hoping to find specific details. Is the NMA a good place to start?
  5. What can I do to help preserve our riding opportunities on public land? Write letters? Volunteer somehwere? Donate?

    Naneum planning process complete

Looks pretty good for us. More greendot roads, motorized trails and no (major at least) closures. I just hope it doesn't ruin the remote character. I love that area.

    Riding a wr450 slow?

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I'll need to look into a fan kit if I go this route. Why would a 250f not have this problem? just because of the smaller motor?

    Riding a wr450 slow?

I'm an intermediate trail rider. I'm sure the new model 450 has plenty of power, but can I ride it slow easily? Half my time I just want to cruise easy trails or jeep roads. The other half will be more spirited riding. I plan to ride with my kids when they are bigger so that means a lot of putting around. Will I need to install a fan to avoid overheating? Is the EFI too jerky at low rpms? I've been considering the 250 but I am 6'4 and about 260lbs all geared up so Im worried it will not have enough power. I prefer to lug rather than scream a bike.
  9. I'm pretty sure I need to replace the left side/flywheel crank seal on my 2005 200 exc. Can I do it with the engine in the bike?

Does anyone carry a gun while riding in WA?

You do not need a concealed license to carry concealed while engaged in an outdoor activity or travelling to and from that activity. See #8 http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9.41.060

    More Reiter

I know long time riders think these trails are a joke, but has anyone actually ridden them? I'm thinking about heading out sunday for an hour or two since it is so close to home.
  12. Awesome video. Didn't see it posted yet. Are they trying to say the freeride 350 is as much fun as the 300?

    Naneum and more DNR survey

It would be incredible to have a trail system from Blewett pass to the Columbia. I grew up on the eastside and really love this area. I hope they don't overdevelop it with a bunch of paved roads and camgrounds. The primitive nature is part of the appeal to me.

    Thinking of buying a 2005 200 exc

I bought it and I love it! Awesome power and handling. I'm in love. Feels like a mountain bike which is what I wanted. I definitely need some risers for standing but otherwise I think it fits great.

    Thinking of buying a 2005 200 exc

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to go ahead with it. I've been looking at this model for awhile and am excited to try out a two stroke. I've only ridden one once.
