    07 RM-Z 250 Build Project: #2

I hear the trans detent arm isn't all that good in the 07. Reading suggests putting the 450 one in its place.

Did you take the tension off the cct before putting it back in?

stroker crank in an 07 250

Cant seem to find a definitive answer about using hot rods 3mm stroker crank with an aftermarket high compression piston.it does say the 3mm uses a stock piston but nothing on specific HC pistons. Connecting rod bearing went out on OE crank and on market for a new crank. Whats your opinions on cranks? stock vs stroker? No motor work in it yet. Although I have been running a CP 14.2:1 piston Looking for more low end grunt with less clutch I guess. don't need very much top end as this is a hare scrambles bike and doesn't see to many long straights. Although (in a perfect world) if I can keep up top with extra down low, ill take it (obviously). Thanks

06 Crf250r using oil after rebuild

There is only a few spot oil can get out of the motor. How bad is it smoking when its running?

    11 350 sxf de-tuning

I have read quite a few threads about the cheaper handlebar mounted map switches. Except just about everyone is looking for more power. Im looking for less. My father just bought the bike at a steal. However he is to old for a powerhouse like this. He just celebrated his 78th birthday. He gets around on the bike ....ok, but with the FI its to crisp and punchy. I was hoping the switch would take a noticeable amount of snap out of it. I dropped the rear sprocket down to a 47T and it helped a tiny bit. Cant seem to locate a half turn throttle (if they even make one for this bike). Anyone have input on the mild setting? or info on elongating the throttle turn? The throttle is a few degrees under 90. Making it a light switch. If the throw can be longer, it would definitely make things more manageable and fun for him. Please don't reply with, "get a 250". I have tried talking sense. It doesn't work. Have you ever tried talking to a 78 yr/old who has a .40 special glued to his hip about whats best for him? Any input on making this bike softer would be great an I would appreciate it tremendously.

    Wambaw Cycle Trail Update

South is fairly clean and highway, north 2 weeks ago. starting to form some small lumps here and there but still decent. Especially in comparison to what I have seen it.

Has not been setup to make a fair review. 5 star rating is on looks alone.

    Suzuki RMZ250 2007

Great bike. Good low end power for a 2 fiddy. Handles great, especially over long large whoops. A touch soft on flipping it left right left right in the fast quick switch backs. A steeper rake from some aftermarket triples should cure that. Overall, a great machine

    CRF 250 vale seat cutting

Is it possible the retainers got swapped for the intake? Memory ( not very good ) says the retainers for intake and exhaust were slightly different? What year is this bike?

2006 rmz 250 problems please help

Assuming the "bike mechanic" did a proper job and everything in there is functioning as it sure, check the petcock and petcock filter for dirt, debri, or some for of blockage.
