  1. What's the best way to run the magnet leads on a KLX300? I tried wrapping the lead around the brake line but it wore through where it passed through the brake-line guides. Anyone tried running a lead *inside* the brake line cover?
  2. Thanks, I've been over the whole page and have read each description, prior to posting this request. I didn't need 4SO's description to tell me what I already know to be true. The oregon is not bright enough, nor is it adjustable. The only light on that page which is listed as adjustable is the Ciclope, and I don't particularly care for how it looks. Hoping someone knows of another source not included on fourstrokesonly.com.
  3. When going from Low to High beam, should both Low & High filaments light up, or just the High beam filament?

    suzuki dr200

My suggestion is to leave the bike alone. Loud bikes are what get people pissed off and riding areas closed. The amount of power increase seen by freeing up the DR200 exhaust is minimal. If you want a faster bike try selling the DR and find a good XT350 or maybe a DRZ/KLX400.
  5. I bought a UFO Oregon on ebay last year and it simply isn't bright enough, nor is it adjustable. What is your recommendation for a good (bright and adjustable) headlight? The only one meeting both needs on fourstrokesonly.com is the Ciclope, but I'm not too fond of the style.
  6. Just converted the 2-lead taillight of my KLX to a DOT legal brake light. Bought a new socket from PEP Boys with three leads, wired that up with front and rear hydraulic brake switches and presto, brake lights. It's easy to do.

    UFO Headlight

here's the writing on mine: Please follow up here if you locate a source for them. Oh, have you found a way to adjust the beam with your Oregon? There aren't any adjust screws and the light shines a little too high for my tastes.

Expect highs in the 60's and lows possibly in the 30's.

If you could have any dualsport? Any one?

For the sheer fun of it I'd love a nicely done KX500 dualsport stuffed in the 250 frame.

Anybody had their back fused and still ride?

well I can't help much with the fusion part of this, but I had back surgery two years ago for a herniated disk. Before surgery it got so bad I could barely go from sitting to standing, and sleep was light at best. This went on for 10 months before i finally went under the knife (I tried physical therapy, epidural, massage, ect). A week after surgery I was walking a mile a day. 3 months afterwords I rode a bike again, briefly. Decided it was too early & waited another year or so. I'm riding now and have no back/sciatic pain to speak of. Moral of the story? Listen to your body and more importantly listen to your doc. Fusions are a lot more ivolved recovery-wise than herniated disk repair. I'd be surprised if you weren't on a bike again. Just know that you won't be able to ride as fast/hard as you used to - even if you think you can mentally. Hope you have a successful surgery and quick recovery.
