What Have You Done To Your KTM Today?

Got new front and rear wheel bearings installed and a fresh set of brake pads up front. Went over the bike top to bottom. She is ready to go as soon as the average temps of 108° drop. Soon I hope!! Being caged indoors drinking beer is brutal.

Mine are on the way. Front and rears, plus a set of front brake pads.

Been a long time since I've posted. Bought a house last September and been remodeling since! Finally put a fresh set of shoes on the 300 and was all ready to ride this weekend until I discovered today's temp is 111° Cranked up the AC and cracked a beer instead.

What 350/500 mod do you regret?

I have the TT Voyager on mine. Wired in to the bike, never an issue in the two years I've had it.

    Oldfuddy quote

When it comes to actual mods, I would say the forums are a good place to come for ideas. That should always be followed by a significant amount of research. Let's face it, today's machines require very little in the way of altering factory settings. Spring it for your weight, set sag, bolt on some armor and you have a great reliable and competitive machine. The mods I have made to my bikes have been all well thought out before jumping in. Are they must haves? No! But they make my ride more enjoyable.
  7. Simple green and one of those 3m pads (green) work well.
  8. The 140 is slowing your turning down quite a bit. A 110 is better at quick turning/carving.

Acerbis makes the frame guards. So far they've been great. They seem to resist getting chewed up by your boots very well.

It did come from them in orange. Choices were Orange, Black, and bare aluminum. I ordered from Slavens Racing.

The carbon fiber pipe guard on the 300 had taken a beating and was in need of replacement. Flatlands Racing recently put an aluminum guard on the market so I thought I'd give it a try. Fit and finish was spot on.

    OX-Brake left hand rear brake

Just installed the OX on my 300XC. I haven't had the chance to try it out yet. Installation was easy and it tucks in better than I expected. No problem locking the rear tire on dry asphalt, so it should work perfectly out on the trail.
