  1. Just got my first four stroke and when i brought it home and put it next to my 250 two stroke, the 450 was a good 3 inches shorter than the two stoke! I took it out riding with some friends that all had 400's and 450's last weekend and all their bikes are taller as well. Im wondering whats up. Will i get three inches from a sag adjustment? Are these bikes just smaller?
  2. Trying to replace my kids KTM 65 crank assembly. I have never done this before, but $$ is hard to come by lately so i decided to dig into it myself. I have both cases open and everything taken apart. The only thing left to do is push the crank out of the clutch side of the case and it will be out. The thing is that part of the crank on the clutch side (the part that turns the water pump) has a cogg on it and i dont know how its fixed to the crank shaft. Is it pressed on or screwed on?. I need to get the cogg off in order to push the rod through the case. Or does it come of some other way? any info would be greatly apprecieated. Thanks Pictures are below.

  4. I bought my son a 2004 KTM 65sx a few months ago. He rode it five or six times since we got it (maybe 40 hrs). Just took my son out the other day to ride here in the SF Bay Area. He rode half the day and we rode back to camp for lunch and the thing just died on him. I pulled over to help him and noticed that I couldnt kick it over ( the kick arm had seized). I managed to get it to move and after a few times of trying to kick it over it moved OK. Though sonded crunchy, like metal on metal....... I walked it back to our site and performed a initial autopsy on it. while pulling the head off I noticed that there was what seemed a solution of oil/anti freeze (a grey sludge)in the water reservoire around the cylinder head. I then checked the radiator, and water pump and found the same sludge (and silently weeped). What is weired is the oil in the oil reservoire is clear, not cloudy at all. Back to the head. The top of the piston looks ok, a little black on top, but ok. When i move the piston up and down, there is a small but noticeable catch on the downstroak, rith when the piston get below the exhaust port. I talked to guy that knows two strokes a little better than me and he took a look at it. He said it was odd that the oil or whatever it is made its way back into the radiator and not the oil reservoire. Im about to pull this thing apart. Anybody have any ideas of where to start?

  6. Are you saying the Generator will charge the batteries as fast as the engine? or the generator will take three days to charge the battery.
  7. Ya, I didnt think it would be that complicated, its just a fender. Thanks I'm pulling the trigger.

I know the main trail system is closed, but I have heard a few times that some of the lower trails are still open to riding. Is there volunteer rehab over pres weekend?

  11. Just bought a used fleetwood jamboree a month ago. I ended up buying a new aux battery, becouse the one that was in there was bad. I am new to the RV world and was wondering how long the batteries last. We used it a couple weeks ago and had the heater on all night. We also had to leave a light on because my daughter was scarred. By morning the battery was dead. I had a external generator that we ran for the remainder of the trip, but it wouldn't charge the battery no matter how long it was on. Weird thing is when we drove back home the battery charged. It charged off of the motor, but not from a external generator(I didn't fire up the on-board generator because it was low on oil). So i guess i have two questions. Is the battery supposed to charge off of the external power source? How long is the battery supposed to last with the light and heater on?
  12. Can anyone tell me if i can put a front fender for 2005-2007 250 on my 98 250? The four hole patterns look the same.
  13. Looking to buy a new battery for my kids 2008 TTR-50 bike (Damn electric start!). Problem is I can only find them for 2005-2007. Will this fit? Its gotta be the same size right? Any feed back would be appreciated. Thank You.
