    Finished My 86' CR5

Fell down and went boom a month ago. Fractured my left collarbone. Swapped my tires over to Magnum SX tires. Bike grips a LOT better now, hopefully I won't have any more grip issues Was looking good up until then though

Stock rims. Check out Buchanan, they made me rims and spokes for my 89 CR5 project Bolt that holds the fender on the exhaust side pulled through. The rear fender graphic is from Factory Backing I have a thread there on the second page of the steelie forum. Been forgetting to update it.... I'm on there under the same username

Thanks guys! It's without a doubt the smoothest 500 I've ever ridden

Gonna send me some parts for my 1989 Geboers 500 replica?

I've had this bike for almost seven years now and have been slowly restoring it overtime. I've learned a lot just wrenching on it, and there's no way I could possibly sell it. 03 crf 450r to a cr500

Be sure to go check out the dedicated CR500 forum: cr500riders.com Don't get me wrong, this is a great forum, BUT the 500 forum has TONs of AF builders and some of the bigger names in the 500 industry (AJ Wagner, for example). Be sure to introduce yerself in the introductions thread I'm on there under the same username

Not at all. Parts are still relatively abundant, and older engines can be 'modernized' with late model CR5' parts.
  9. It's all fun and games until you give 'er too much throttle on a jump
  10. I'm sorry, hwat? Just bustin yer balls

    Dually?

I hear ya. I just came back from a broken elbow (hit by a drunk driver, I was on the street bike). I didn't take it seriously at all, at least until somebody tried to pass me on the straights, at which point I said 'Goodbye" and upshifted
  12. DirtRider500R

    Dually?

Yup, that was me. I pulled off to see if they were in fact sending us off the track. If they sent you off I was going to follow

    Dually?

    Yezzir!
  14. Good luck with the sharp turns!
  15. Vintage Innovation here with the occasional open class race. The ole 86; CR500 is just as competitive as any other bike out on the track (until we get to tight turns....)
