  1. Hi guys and girls, Ive just recently replaced my rear brake pads No drams! The fronts how ever just as im putting them back in one of the little retainer clips that hold the pads in ( not sure what there called) has fallen out and for the life of me cannot work out were it goes back in, With out the clip the top of the pads fall out and wont stay in, I have attached a photo of the front caliper and the part i am talking about is number 9 If someone knows where this little bugger goes that would be great honestly cannot work out where it sits, i have tried researching the forum and google and cannot find anything, If the photo doesnt work heres a link to the photo http://cdn.boats.net/diagram/yamaha/MCY/2007/YZ125W1/IMAGES/FRONT_BRAKE_CALIPER.png Thanks!
  2. He used Spray and wipe , So im not sure if thats as bad as bleach, And you can feel like a sandy coat on it after a while, but the metal remains intact
  3. Hi guys Recently i let my mate borrow my pitbike for a day because he wanted to go riding, I said to him to clean it down before he drops it back off at mine, His types of cleaning products have now left very nasty stains on the magneto cover and on the clutch cover, They look like something has splashed over it,he said he used spray and wipe, or bleach something like that.......... why ? i dont know.. Now i have this nice stain and after leaving it for a few hours the bleach or something has turned to a sandy paste???? So the covers have sand on them if that makes sense, I washed the bike down 2 twice with soap and a brush, not sure if the sand will come back but the nasty stain is still there?? Please help as i am planning on selling this bike
  4. Ok wow thats alot of info but thank you very very much! i will 250 'crosser. take it on board, After reading this i am thinking of a 250. Thanks alot!
  5. Hi guys I currently own a yz 125 and i am mainly just using it for enduro and trails im not doing motocross or competing, Im wondering about the WR 450 how does it go? is it a perfect bike for enduro and trail riding?? The main few reasons im wanting to buy a WR 450 is because i am over the cost of running a 2 stroke , love the bike but i cannot afford it anymore they rip through the fuel and the maintenance is horrific! Plus its not really the perect bike for what i am doing other then it is very light which you wont have in a 4 stroke., also what is the maintenance like in the WR'S? So what do you guys think? am i better off with the 2 stroke or get a WR ? Yes it is a huge step up from a 125 but i have ridden many 450s before and its all about controlling the power. But i am still considering a 250 What do you guys think i should do? And what are they WR'S like for enduro and trails and overall. Thanks
  6. Yeah i gathered that mate but your not understanding ill explain in the picture i attached below, So the 'BLUE' arrow means that is where the bolt is off that particular gear lever, the 'RED' arrow means that is where MY bold is,, so there is no way i can get a socket in there at all with out hitting the frame.. Who ever made these gear levers were not thinking very well... Sorry guys my post's are being strange i think i need to reset my modem

  9. Hi guys im just wondering if all pitbike carburetor caps (where the throttle cable goes into the carb) are they all standard sizes? Thanks
  10. Hi guys, i have a mate with a 125 kayo maloo pitbike, last weekend we were riding and it was rather wet, we went through water and everytime he went through it his bike stopped, now im guessing the water is hitting the sparkplug which is then shorting the bike out? Funny enough it seems to do the same thing on PW 80S so what can my mate do to stop this, or what is this caused by? I was thinking of putting glad rap or some kind of shield around the spark plug so water wouldnt hit it. Thanks!
  11. Thats weird i cant seem to do that the frame of my bike is in the way to fit a socket on it? heres a pic to show you what i mean as you can see the frame is in the way to fit anything in there.. http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au/sites/yamaha-motor/files/imagecache/lightbox/2011_YZ125_DPBSE_AU_2_engine.jpg
  12. Hi, lol i do have spanners and shifters and 2 socket sets, my biggest problem is the area to work with, you cant fit a spanner in there or you will just hit the frame theres no room to work with. Thanks for the reply!
  13. Hi thanks for the reply, the shaft is fine theres plenty of teeth left on it. And my biggest problem is that its the hardest spot to fit anything in there theres not much room to work with. What size is the correct spanner?

  15. Hi guys I have a yz 125 2007 and i have now gone through 4 gear levers they are MSR aluminium and i havnt had much luck with them, and i dont have money to go out and buy the original gear lever and also i cant get a small spanner in there to tighten the nut up i have to wrong sized spanners so my nut is being rounded.., so.. i need your help how does this sounds I have an old gear lever with some teeth still on it, i was thining taking off the nut and finding a wing nut with the rod on it and putting that through insted,, and then using locktight to double secure it. this way i dont have so find a short spanner to tighten it up i can just use a small shifter and tighten the wing nut up?? Would this work do you guys think? I am over buying crappy gear levers and dont have any money at the moment to spend??? Let me know what you guys think!! CURRENT GEAR LEVER I THINK ITS MSR https://www.google.com.au/search?q=yamaha+gear+lever&rlz=1C1CHKB_en-GBAU460AU460&aq=f&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=o_wxUcC0F6-ViAeKs4D4BA&biw=1920&bih=922&sei=pvwxUfqcJ835lAWImoDIAw#imgrc=LkdzVDY_VE4-YM%3A%3BmKk7EwwJErO8AM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.forbesanddavies.co.nz%252FImageHandler.ashx%253Fp%253D2216%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.forbesanddavies.co.nz%252Fproducts%252F104-gear_levers%252F2792-alloy_gear_levers.aspx%3B455%3B500
