Buying First Bike, need some info :)

1100! bucks. U must be crazy. I have a 450. Just redid the complete top end. Valves. Shim kit.athena pistons and rings. And new clutch plates. It cost me maybe. 500. Thats on the high side. Dont get me wrong love two and fours..but either way its all shop rates. Bikes are simple..find a friend or local mechanic. Dont pay 45 dollars every 30 minutes its ridiculous. Have the ppl in shops are 18 and have no clue &%$#@! is going on. Replace oil and keep up with maintenance before something breaks.

Id say go for it. My buddy has that exact same bike year and everything. 2 stroke 4 stroke. To each their own i guess. It doesnt really matter.. thats a great bike tho. And as far a rebuilds. The whole top end went in his. After well over 30 hours. And top ends are a breeze to rebuild. If u do it urself it wont cost much. Shop rates are what skrews everybody!
  7. Which is a better bang for your buck? Bolth are 450s top end only done once on each?? Hmm?
