  1. All I have is a ported one. If you wanted that one I could do it for $700 but other than that Im with the rest of the world waiting on honda.
  2. I can do you a complete 06 head with all OEM parts for $649.95. Or I have a ported 08 head that I can do with OEM components for $921.00 But Im out of OEM non ported 08 heads until honda ships them.
  3. Those are kibblewhite valve springs and retainers, Id guess that those are kibblewhite valves. Check out Bigborethumpers.com we offer new OEM heads with stainless steel valves in them starting at $549.95 for the 06 head and $575 for the 08 style head. We also offer the newer heads just let me know what you need, and I can get you a price. We also offer porting if that something you are looking for.
  4. Bigborethumpers.com/ APE American Performance Engineering Has heads on the self for $575 with stainless valves and heavy duty valve spring kit. So nice to not mess with your bike and just ride.
  5. APE/ Bigborethumpers.com Has done oversized valves as well. Stainless and titanium. We also have spring kits with titanium retainers, cams, complete head packages.
  6. Check your timing, if you don't think its the air fuel screw.Your cam chain tensioner may be taking a dump, and the cam has jumped a tooth on the cam chain.
  7. I dont think the filter is as key and the change. I have an 03 CRF450 that has had a stainless steel filter from the first week I owned it used in 2005 and I will tell you that the crank in that bike today is the stock crank it had in it when it left the showroom floor, and without exaggeration It has well over 1000 hours on it. I think the oil change becomes the durability factor. But I will say Im another happy scotts filter fan.
  8. Do you really think a woman would look good with just one. No way man. One on each side.
  9. Or Bigborethumpers.com. We offer full stainless steel valve kits as well as the lave job services. $199.95 for the valve and spring kit, and $129 for the valve job. As long as your valve guides are good the only other things you will need is a set of valve guide seals, and a head an base gasket.
  10. I smell adjustable cams so it makes all the power it can.
  11. APE has adjustable cam gear in stock. And Im going to go with eddie on this one. If your going to go with a stroker crank at least go with a stock length rod. I have a gen1/gen2 stock stroke crank in stock with a Carrillo rod installed. Tough to make a turbo make big gains out of a 1 lunger. Good luck. If there is anything we can do to help message me at Jeff@aperaceparts.com, or call (661)256-7309.
  12. Hey Guys just wanted to let you know that we have 08 heads in stock, that will fit your 02-08 CRF 450R or 05-17 X. They run $575 and comes complete. New OEM Honda head with stainless steel valves, and APE's heavy duty valve spring kit including valve springs, titanium retainers, spring bases, and its all assembled with new OEM keepers. You just need to shim it to you cam and enjoy. The 08 head offers better port design than the older models, and the 1mm smaller exhaust valves give the bike a bit more bottom end oomph. and for he X model it offers 1mm larger intake valves that make it scream on the top end without killing you bottom end. Any questions or comments please feel free to call Jeff @ (661) 256-7309 or email me at Jeff@aperaceparts.com Thanks

  14. A power band is just a 2 strokes happy place. Its when the fuel and air mix just right. you can do a few things to calm the motor down. 1 get a heavier fly wheel. 2 teach your kid that there is nothing to be afraid of, you control the power. 3 throttle stop will help but you will have to set it so low that you will be dealing with fouled plugs a lot. 4 best way is to sell it and get a 4 stroke 110 or 125.
