Suspension oil change.. HELP ASAP PLZ

Ah thanks! Really appreciate the quick response! Belgium here I come! :-D
  2. I'm off to Belgium tomorrow for a week of motocross with the lads, Ive had leaky fork seals for a while now, but just got the fork doctor and that's sorted it all out, no more leaks, but because I lost quite a bit of oil over the months I wanted to replace it before my trip. I have a 2015 ktm 250sx EU version, (still pissed about having leaky seals with a new bike) when I changed the oil, I left the clickers as they were and I just cracked the seal between the cartridge and outer tube, tried to keep the cartridge as still as possible while I unscrewed the outer fork tube, then pull it down, emptied oil, put 400ml back in and screwed it back up.. As far as I'm aware this is correct.. But the worry I'm having is when I was tighting it all back up, I span the cartridge by mistake instead of turning the outer tube to tighten it back up.. Is this an issue or am I worrying over nothing? Is it OK for the cartridge to spin like that or will it mess anything up? clickers, etc? Don't fancy a sleepless night worrying that I've messed it up lol Sorry if I've explained it poorly. Thanks in advance

And the 2015 YZ 250 wins the MXA shootout too!

This that article is abit of a joke tbh, the yz won because it feels better? That is just a personal preference? I actually think the 250sx feels better than the yz after a few suspension tweeks, hence the reason I got a 15 250sx. The ktm out performed the yz in every category bar suspension, and still lost?.. Makes no sense to me..

    Best rims / wheels?

I'm looking for some new wheels for my 15 ktm 250sx.. I'm torn between the sm pro platinum wheels, and the ultralight talon / excel wheel. Which is the better wheel? Sm pro claim their wheels are stronger and lighter than the excel a60 rims.. Anyone have any experience with both these sets of rims? I'm a fast intermediate / expert rider who loves to jump so I want a rim I can rely on. Thanks in advance for any help

    Recommended flywheel weight?

When adjusting the spring preloaded, which settings means which? Does screwing it in soften or harden the hit? Thanks!

    Recommended flywheel weight?

I have just been reading up on the PV adjusting, I'm planning on putting the green spring in this weekend and seeing how that feels before getting a flywheel weight.. I'm alittle confused as to adjusting the "dolly" though? To soften the bike do I turn the dolly in or out? I've read loads of posts but alot are conflicting.. :-S.. Also I do have the ignition curve to soft already, I ride sand most of the time so get a little better traction with it set to soft, the fact I ride mainly motocross sand tracks is another reason why I fancy a FWW because I've read it improves traction?

    Brand new bike fouling plugs?

Well I havnt touched the bike since buying it new, so the jetting is what it comes with from the factory. the bike runs and rides perfect though apart from the plug fouling while idling, crisp as hell, instant throttle response, no flat spots and power through the whole rev range, so makes no difference to me weather it idles for 5 mins or 30 seconds lol Once I've done a session, I can leave the bike idling constantly without it fouling plugs, just seems to be when I let it idle straight from cold, not sure what that means? I don't really know alot about carbs and jetting.

    Recommended flywheel weight?

I have a 2015 ktm 250sx, completely stock.. And tbh it its way to much.. The bike is an absolute animal! I probobly weight about 10.5 stone piss wet through so it's a handful for me to say the least, I'll be getting softer springs all round and a revalve on the suspension within a few weeks but I'm still thinking I need to add alittle weight to the flywheel.. I still have yellow power valve spring in which I'm gona change to green too.. I'd say I'm a brave intermediate rider, more balls than skill haha.. What would you guys recommended weight wise? I'm thinking 10oz? Anyone had any experience with different weights to give me a little advice! Thanks in advance!

    Brand new bike fouling plugs?

Just thought I'd quickly update this! Been on my bike a handful of times now, taking your guys advice and only letting it idle for 20/30 seconds before taking it easy for a few laps.. Havnt fouled a plug since, and it's been running perfect! Thanks for the help guys, greatly appreciated!

    Brand new bike fouling plugs?

Still amazes me that people think 60:1 means 60ml of oil per litre.. And then call me retarded.. Sigh!

    Brand new bike fouling plugs?

When I'm on a track at the weekends I do give the bike hell, or at least try to anyways! Haha! But through the week I just Potter about doing some enduro riding and practicing some jumps so the bike gets a fairly easy life through the week. I'm not sure on my altitude off the top of my head, I live in the North West of England, UK though if that helps! 60:1 seems to be working for me performance wise, bikes perfect everywhere I else, I'll get some fresh plugs and give the air filter a good clean and start warming it up with all your advice and see how it goes, if it's still the same I'll start working on the jetting!

    Brand new bike fouling plugs?

Cheers guys, I always thought it was bad practice to rev it up straight after starting the bike from cold? I'll just start it up and go straight away, take it easy for the first couple of hundred metres, then give it the beans.. I'll let you know how I get on over the next couple of days. Thanks

    Brand new bike fouling plugs?

Am I riding it hard?.. Not really no, not as you would ride a 125, it's abit of a handful so I'm just getting to grips with it!. Well I say 5 minutes, I just kick it up, and leave it idling while I put my gear on.. Usually by the time I'm ready it's good to go, I've always done the same on all my bikes but this one is being wierd.. The jetting is still stock, so wouldn't say it's rich?.. Although when I take the plug out it is clean but a oily colour, I just put that down to it being idling for a few minutes? Would it be worth using premium petrol? Just using 95 Oct atm because the petrol station the does shell v-power is quite far away.. Air filter is clean yeah, I know almost everyone has their own way of warming there bike up and they'll say it's worked for them for years.. But what's the best way to get it warmed up then if that's what's causing the fouling? My first brand new bike so I'd like to keep it in as best condition as possible! Lol Thanks for the replies, greatly appreciated!
