    2011 KX450F Rev Limiter @ 5820

Hi Guys, On our tach/hour meters the ppr (pulse per revolution) setting needs to be changed if your bike is EFI equipped. I have included a link to our website that if you scroll down has a short video of how to install the hour meter. At the beginning of the video it explains how to change the ppr setting. It is easy to do, and then your rpm's will be accurate. By the way, it has no effect on the 'hours' on the bike no matter where the ppr is set. http://worksconnection.com/details.php?id=722 Hope this helps. ...Eric

    PPR setting for RPM/HR meter?

Bonestock07, 1.0 is the correct PPR setting for your bike. Our hour/tach meters are pre-set at 1.0, but are also easy to reset to 1.0 if you have changed the setting. ...Eric

  13. Hey guys. We just finished up our prototype Skid Plate for the 2011 KTM 350 and wanted to show you guys the finished plate. The Skid Plate features our RIMS - Rubber Isolated Mount System and includes pre-cut oil drain access holes so you don't have to remove the Skid Plate for oil changes. We are hoping to have the production Skid Plates on or before 9/9/10 so we're really close. I have included a link to additional pics... http://worksconnection.com/details.php?id=747&modyear=439&return=439-5-350%20SXF

Any problems with your hour meters?

johnk408, It is true that all hour meters record in 'tenths' which are 6 minute intervals. So sometimes a meter will show say 1.0 but it may only be only 1 minute from changing to 1.1 so in other words they can vary by approx. 5 minutes depending on where they are at in the 6 minute time frame (hopefully that makes sense). With our meters we have tested extensively by comparing them to a stop watch and they are very accurate. If you are timing your motos though to be 100% accurate I would still use a watch of some type since they can be off by a few minutes. ...Eric

2011 350 SXF Skid Plate by Works Connection

Hey Guys, We just shot a video showing how to install the Skid Plate for the 2011 KTM 350. If you are like me...you would rather watch a video than read the instructions on the easiest way to do it In actuality the skid plate install is a simple 5 minute process due to the way our mounting system was set up. Just to let everyone know ahead of time...the video is not going to be receiving any awards for cool editing, cool music or even awesome camera angles...but you get a good idea of how easy it really is once you watch it. Thanks!

2011 350 SXF Skid Plate by Works Connection

stunt101< The main reason we developed the rubber mounted system is to keep the chassis flex the same as without a skid plate. There are certain points of the frame that you want the frame to flex and that helps in the handling characteristics of the bike. Factory Bikes have utilized rubber mounted systems for years as the riders could 'feel' the difference. ...Eric

2011 350 SXF Skid Plate by Works Connection

rikioh< We haven't had a chance to try it yet on the 250 but I should have an answer in a couple of days. If the chassis is the same as the 350 it should...but we don't assume it fits until we actually try it on a bike. The drain areas could also be slightly different between the two models too. I will post when I find out for sure. Also you would order through : Pro Circuit Racing- Deutschland ...Eric

    hour meter/tach question

On our tach/hour meters they are pre-set to ppr 1.0 for four strokes and 2 strokes. Which gives an accurate rpm reading on all 4-stroke and 2 stroke bikes that are not EFI models. For EFI models the ppr needs to be changed to .5 to be give an accurate rpm reading. WC
