    Save a little room

I found a few different bits for it thru Frys.com Think Ill get the stubby version also.
  2. Found this to save a little room in my tool bag I carry on my bike. http://www.firehawktech.com/PicQuic/hvac.html You can buy any bits you want to customize it to your needs.
  3. Last year while riding up in that area I talked to one of the Rangers about the riding conditions on Middle Tommy Creek to Mad River trail then to Klone Peak. He told us there was some small logs down according to the last report he got but he said that was from some motorcycle riders, who stopped and cleared them off the trail. He then told me that saved him from having to run up there and clear it. We asked if we needed to push our bikes to the trail head, he said nope, just dont do anything stupid while on the road and we dont have a problem.
  4. What I find amazing about Hikers and Mountian bikers in the Entiat area is.... The last 3 years I road into Mad Lake....There hasnt been any. I have only ran into other dirt bikers. I have road the Middle Tommy Creek trail to Blue Lake then to Mad lake trail then up to Klone Peak then down into lake creek campgound and havent seen or heard one hiker or biker. I have also rode Maverick Saddle into Mad Lake then down the trail from hell , The Shetipo, into Cottonwood Campground then down the road to Lake Creek, again never seeing a biker or hiker. I think these pics are taken to make us bikers look bad

    Thinking about a xr650r

I was away from the riding scene for a few years. I went from a 1980 Suzuki DS 250 to my 2003 XR650R Here are my thoughts... If you get one UNCORK IT Its worth the money. At 300 lbs its a pig to handle in the tight stuff. Like said before, its like a Tractor. On trails I cut my gearing to stock in the rear, a 13 tooth in the front. Considering cutting it to a 53 rear and 13 front. Use Engine Ice or Evans coolant. The normal anti freeze just doesnt work for trail riding IMO. My pig loves the higher end gas. Dont be cheap on the gas. BRP's love gas that doesnt contain ethanol.

Reiter trails close on June 19

I was told the access to the Index wall was being restricted because of people dumping stuff off of it, which I dont believe. Anyone who has rode to it knows the last bit of the trail is nasty and to try to drive there to dump somthing is pretty stupid considering there lots of easier places to dump somthing on the way to the wall

What's the craziest thing you ever needed on a ride?

I was thinking more of a towstrap maybe pulling a bike back to the truck. But a strap to make the bike into a back pack

Sunday ride with son on Honda 70

Your son rides good. Times like that are the best way to be a father. I started my son out riding at 6, He is now 16, on an electric quad. He went to a old Suzuki 50 then a RM 80. a ttr 125, a crf 150F and now rides a Yamaha YZ450F he bought himself. Us riding together has kept us close and him out of trouble.

Ride the pig... don't let it ride you!

I love my XRR. When I first got it I was scared to death of it. Had friends tell me that bike is going to kill you, that bike is to big for off road. Some of those friends still to this day wont ride it because it scares them. I turned my 16 year old son loose on it one weekend, he now wants it. When we go riding at least part of the day he wants to swap bikes. He has a YZ450F that scares me. Took my ex's brother with us riding and camping one weekend. He doesnt have a bike and I told him use mine, go for a ride, and I showed him how to start it if he killed it and it was hot. After a 3 hour ride he has been 650R shopping since then.
  14. I looked at the Ridgelines before I bought my Dakota. Didnt really care for the style of the truck but it had some features that I wish I had on my Dakota. That trunk setup they have in the floor of the bed is bad ass

    Why do you ride?

I ride because its freedom. It quickly helps you forget the week youve had, and all riders, street, trail or dirt will agree. Its better than theropy. When I got out of it for about 10 years I felt something was missing in my life.
