  1. Ive read some of the posts about pistons shattering and now Im curious. What is the best piston to do a rebuild with and at what interval do you experts recommend? I know what the manual says but I would like real life experience. This is a bike that were counting on getting us to Lorettas. its a 2016. Thanks
  2. I have to slightly agree. Just picked one up two weeks ago. Bike is awesome. I've had Hondas and zooks so I cant speak on the YZ too much though I have rode them some. The zook is a super handling bike with a stout motor but that new KTM is off the hook once you get the suspension sorted....and that cost some serious change.
  3. Wow, thanks for all the advice. I have a lot of testing to do. Does the flywheel weight have the feeling of robbing power in order to gain traction or cant you tell a difference in the power? Thanks again guys. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
  4. Yep! Had all three of mine done at no expense to me.
  5. No, No, make no mistake I totally expected the different feel of the 2t. I really like the fact that its not the lazy mans ride. Im 48 and a mid pack vet rider. Just want to take a little of the hit out. The bike is outstanding and I cant wait for the 17 with the frame geometry changes and all. I guess more than anything Im just looking to play around a little with power delivery. May try a flywheel weight. Never have used one in the past but hear a lot of guys claim that it smooths out the power a little. Thanks for all the input.
  6. Just picked up my first KTM 2t. Is there any way to make the power delivery smoother and possibly lower while not sacrificing any overall HP? Bike is awesome just would like to have more low end similar to a 4t. Thanks
  7. not the answer I was hoping for but thanks for the help. Scott
  8. I have a 2015 250 SX-F that has a reworked rear shock. I recently bought a 2016 250SX. I would like to swap the shocks if possible. Can someone tell me if the shocks are the same. The part numbers are not, but that doesn't always tell the whole story. Thanks

  10. Called my dealer and he said bring them in to have the capacitor, and an updated bracket replaced. There was also a fuel line recall Not sure about the details on the fuel line. Taking them in Tuesday. I'll update after the repairs are made. On another note, thanks KTM for recognizing this issue and stepping up to fix the issues.
  11. Thanks. I had no idea about this recall.
  12. Just curious, with all that motor work, why did you not just get a 450? It handles like a 250. Not criticizing your decision, just curious.
  13. Yep, that was it. I swapped it out with my other Fe and off it went. Thanks a lot.
  14. Got a issue fellas. I blew a fuse in my 2015 FE 450 and replaced it but it immediately blew again. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening. I suck with electrical issues, so any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
