    honda crf 450 front forks

Like you guys, I wanted to change out my forks, but I did it on a CRF250L-those forks are a POS! I wanted to keep the triple t's coz they had brackets and stuff for all the other things. So I researched previous Honda mx bikes that had forks close in measurement to the L T's. Finally settled on "97 forks-250-500, still all the same forks, as today! All I had to do was machine/lathe the bottom T a little, and added a slim aluminum bushing/sleeve for the top- taaa daa ! Then found out the wheel had differences, so was easier to just get the hub and rotor, had to modify the caliper mounting plate, but that is pretty much it. If you want new triple t's, then that makes the selection easier, but it does require research and how much you want to do or keep as stock as possible

    Honda CRF250L/M Pics & Video

Hi guys-my '03 XR650R Now living in Huatulco, Mexico-bye Thailand! Was going to go with a 450X but decided to go with the beast! As with my L, this is all schmooze and performance! No law that says she can't be sexy and perform! If you saw my L, well then, this is understandable! Still want an estart! Hope all are doing well, if ever in Thai, bike is still there and for sale at 70K Baht! Well, almost done, still need to redo tank cover 2.0, but the blue carbon print came out great. EFM clutch is fantastic! All the electrics were done by Ben Fiebke-Motowire(former BD installer). So many mods(batwing, vibranators, 400cdi, etc.), but engine is stock, has my proto kevlar tire liners to test before production(NEVER a flat again!). Put my Givi box on back and I'm ready to go ADVing with the best of the BMWers! Was a plated Cali bike, now plated here. She hauls ass! Can't wait to explore Mexico! Let me know if have a question! Adios

    Edelbrock carb problems xr650r

It’s necessary on every carb but a Lectron. The fuel pickup tube on a Lectron is always under vacuum whereas the other carburetors have the pickup tube on the non-vacuum side of the slide. The accelerator pump is a bandaid for that. From the early days, L is the most trouble free and easiest to set up. Had it on my 2 strokes back in the day and they were cadillac! Still are but more expensive for the cheap charlies!

    crankcase cover replaced

On my crf250L, I painted all but the center cases (red) with a basic paint and then clear coated, let it air dry in the hot Thai sun for a few days. Came out extremely well and had a very tough finish, no chips or wear marks with the clear coat. Or, also did triple t's and swingarm. Did my hubs in black when I got my Warp 9's. If you prep and mask well then results follow. I'm also known as Senor Cheapo! But the bike looks hot to this day! My XRR is going thru the same upgrade--slowly. Oh, also having a tank cover made for the IMS 3+ gal tank, have a pattern if anyone is interested in something besides opaque and red. Will post pics when all done and said.

    Tank graphics coming off.

They have vids and good instructions, just check out caswell's, or search tank sealers, but after I did it never a problem, had my tank water printed, came out great

    Tank graphics coming off.

only way is to put epoxy in the tank, I used Caswells. Then no more bubbles. I tried waterprinting first, hoping but no. Should have done the epoxy first!
