    Just got an XT250!!

New to me, 2017, love the dark blue, I think it goes SO well with the vintage look of the motorcycle. I rode it a bit on some hiking trails (no one was around sunday afternoon haha) I love its quick light agility, and it turns SO sharply, like lock is almost perpendicular to the bike it seems lol, rode 196 miles, fuel light came on and I put 1.8 gallons in it, seems odd, i don't think i filled it up all the way, no way the mileage is that high. The favorite motorycle I've ever had was an xr100 when I was around 12. Since then I've had all kinds of motorcyles, crotch rockets, a goldwing, several DRZ's, a husky te500, currently have a 14 KTM 690 Enduro R, and none of them really captures the essence of how I love to ride and the places I like to go like the little yamaha does. I'm just sad it took me so long to discover such a wonderful machine. It truly feels like you're riding a mountain goat, and that it could take you anywhere you could imagine, and it's SO much more fun riding a slow bike fast than it is riding a fast bike slow. I can't wait to get some accessories going for it! Any must haves? Which rear rack? Which skidplate do you guys like? Is the throttle grip fused to the throttle tube like on some bikes? What bar do you like? I'm thinking CR high bend, I'd like to lower the pegs an inch or so, is that feasible? Love Love LOVE this little bike.
  2. The US bikes come with the Pegs+Brackets, and the grab handles. They are usually not installed on the motorcycle but they come in the crate. Make sure if you buy one of these bikes you get those parts. They'll probably have to go get them out of the back or wherever the prep tech set them. ETA: I love my 690, funnest bike I've ever owned.
  3. I bought one in San Antonio for 10,900 otd.
  4. I haven't found that any of the bikes listed on cycle trader are actually on the dealers floor. I've called the ones listed.
  5. Kinda my holy grail bike, I've been saving for a while and finally have enough money to buy one. !!!!!!!!! I can't find one! Had my heart set on the one at my local dealership went in to buy it and gone, dealer said they sold it to a guy out of CA.... weird why wouldn't he buy one there I thought... Then I got to looking around. The reason is bc there aren't any around! Dammit! Anyway looking for one of these bikes. If someone can help me find one, and it's at a dealership and available, and I can get it bought I'll pay that person a 200 dollar finders fee in the form of paypal, or a cashier's check, or 2 crisp 100 dollar bills. However you want it. Bike must be new! Thanks guys! Sam send me a PM or a personal email at oceansown@aol.com or text me, 432 260 9660

  7. Need some advice. Okay, so I got my protaper CR High bend bars in 7/8" and I see that there are markes on the ends of the bars for cutting them down numbered 1-4. Any advice about what to cut them down to? Has anyone installed these bars on their bike with cycra handgaurds? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Video of riding my DRZ

Nice man. What handlebar is that, seems narrow. I like it. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a go-pro camera. Probably will
  10. PIcked up my 2009 with 4000 miles on it for 3800.. the guy was asking 4100.. I shoulda offered lower first.. he didnt really hesitate when i offered the 3800. :/ But the thing was pristine! The guy was a highschool principle and didnt like it for trips, he bought a big ass KTM adventure bike instead. Bone stock.. trailwings still looked new and still had the rubber inserts in the footpegs lol.. I took removed the bar-ends and threw on some knobbies Looks sharp, my 3rd DRZ and first used one.
  11. idk, not really a big fan of cafe husky, those guys are a bit prim and proper for my tastes. thanks though. wouldn't i beat be equivalent to a powercommander? i'll look into it.
  12. Bought the bike a while back, with like 900miles on it. Got a REALLY good deal on it and now I'm thinking i know why. Its running so rich that it's fouling the plug. I think when the guy got the bike he desmogged it but maybe he missed something didnt go about it properly.. idk. I don't know how to tune EFI other than getting a power commander V, and maybe autotune, any advice? the bike is stock with an aftermarket pipe on it, slip on not full. Is there a way to tune this maybe without shelling out 300+ dollars on a PC? any advice is appreciated. thanks!
