Big Bore Head Gasket Same As Stock?

I installed a Cylinder Works 434cc kit a while back that came with all necessary gaskets. I'm now having some head work done and need to replace gaskets. Is the big bore head gasket different from the stock head gasket? What ways can you measure them to know?

    DRZ400S

Lose the stock headlight and headlight brackets for a plastic aftermarket. Losing the stock dash unit for a trail tech will shed a little weight and give you a better setup too. Some people get real serious with lightweight flywheels and taking off starters but it's not really worth it.

DRZ400S Stock Kickstand with SM Wheels?

Here's my converted S next to a SM. I didn't change the stand but find it to be manageable. The pad doesn't sit perfectly flush on the pavement but it hasn't been a problem so far.

DRZ400S Stock Kickstand with SM Wheels?

Thanks for all the replies. I've decided to try before I buy but do present another question. Say I cut and weld the stocker. How crazy will the lean angle be when I put dirt wheels back on? Anything to worry about here?
  6. Have set of used SM wheels on the way and had purchased a used sm kickstand as well. Seller of kickstand backed out at last moment. How important is having the shorter kickstand? Anyone with experience on bike tipping over or not tipping over? It's a 2000 DRZ400S and I haven't touched anything suspension wise. I live in College Station where the wind is known to occasionally blow a bike over and people tend to be careless around bikes on campus.

    Big Bore Carb Setup

I finally got a moment today to check everything out. Started by turning the idle down to see what happened. It eliminated the hanging high rpms but left the engine in what seemed like a fuel starved state with signs of being lean. I gave the carb a good looking over and discovered the boot connection from airbox to carb was just barely off at the bottom of the ring (something I had missed on the checks before). Got it back together and it worked great. Conclusion: take a good look at everything before you do hours of research trying to figure out the problem...chances are it's right in front of you.

    Big Bore Carb Setup

I put in a 155 but now the bike won't idle correctly. I've messed with the idle screw and backed out the fuel mixture screw a ltitle bit to richen it up. It'll idle fine until I give it throttle at which point the rpms will rise and won't go back down. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

    Big Bore Carb Setup

After some research I'm thinking the bike might have been on the rich side with the current carb setup. I'm not going to switch needles now but won't rule it out as an option in the future. I appreciate your instructions. I'm thinking about buying a 155, 152, and 150 to test out using this method. Do yall think these are a good selection to test out? Should I skip the 152? Other input? Thanks

For my future reference, what's the reasoning behind that?

    Big Bore Carb Setup

Current carb setup: 160 main jet 200 main air jet EMN needle clip 3 45 pilot jet 2 turns fuel screw wire mod (o-ring mod) Also found the carb spreadsheet but still looking for general recommendations and advice. Figure the more info I have going in, the better off I'll be.
