Riding four wheeler's and dirt bikes, and just having a great time riding with my friends
  1. Well I got raptor 700 that has always ran great, no problems. Last week I hit the exhaust against the dirt road (no grab bar) and it popped off from the header piece. Had a friend that's good with that stuff pit it back on. Got it today and rode it home, not even a mile and it was popping a few times but was rippin it like always except when it popped. Got home and just being around the bike smelled hot and burnt. Even the oil in the case up front smelt burnt kinda or like some gas, idk which. So basically I want to know what some problems could be. The last time it ran was the drive over to my friends house. But I ran it with just the header piece(for 2 min maybe) Idk if that did somethin, but that's all there is. Any help is appreciated. Have a good day

    Honda trade my cr250r for a 440ex?

Okay so I've been wanting to trade my 250r for a quad again cause the bike is sketchy to me. I had the motor completely rebuilt top to bottom and I've maybe put 4-5 hours on it so far. Feel a lot better in a quad. But I don't want to trade for just any quad. I've had it on Craigslist for awhile saying I would only trade for a 450 quad. Since that's what I want. Had a 400ex in the past and want more power so a 450. But I got offer a on a built 400ex with a 440 big bore and a bunch of other stuff. ( picture will show everything the person has said it has) I know it's all up to me and the risk is all mine, but I just want some opinions on what you guys think. Is it a good trade? How are the 440? Are they reliable? Are the add ons good? Do the cams make it rattle? And etc. just want to hear

Oh, and do the 440 top ends rattle a lot from the stage 3 hot cams?

    Cr250 gets hot

Okay so I have a 99 cr250 that just had the motor rebuilt. got it back and it started up and had awesome power. probably put 2-3 hours on it so far. one day i seen the gas would leak out the carb overflow when kicked or started. so i changed the float level and it don't leak gas anymore so i assumed i fixed that. today my bike wouldn't start so i changed the plug ( cause when the carb was getting to full and fouled the plug) and with the new one it starts up first kick all the time. so i started riding and noticed the power was different. it was there just in different spots than before ( if that makes sense lol) and was riding in low 4th and then my spark plug shots out the top end but stays in the boot (didn't tighten it very tight obviously) and dies. my first thought. I blew the motor or something..... so i attempt to put the plug back in and it was to hot to hold. and the cylinder was way to hot to touch. so i let it sit and let it cool and it does so rather quick. then i tighten the plug very tight this time and ride it home( about a 2 miles) and still gets to hot to touch. i checked the coolant and it is full. the bottom end stays cool and even the pipe somewhat. So my question for all this is, is the cylinder always supposed to be to hot to touch? ive been messing around with the air screw alot, and i mixed a gallon of gas with about 5 oz of 2-cycle oil for this ride, and i also like i said, took the carb off and made the float close earlier( pushed the tongue up) and that's about all that ive really messed with. I dont know if one of those things would have caused the cylinder to get hot or not. buts that's why im here to ask you guys, why is my cylinder to hot to touch? or is that normal?

Well I had my cr250 for about 4 days then it blew up. But for those 4 days.... Wow. I've never felt so much power in a bike. Will the yz hit like the cr?

Well I just wanted your guys opinions on the yz250. What you thought of them if you had one? Just some info on then since I don't know anything about them. Any information will be helpful

    Engine assembly cost

yeah I've looked up what a hot rods bottom end kit is and it was $270 and new top end was $150. So I'm lookin at a grand total of about $700-$750 for a complete engine rebuild done professionally. Don't seem to bad to me. I'm sure I'll be happy with it

    Engine assembly cost

yeah I'm kinda expecting it to be more than that in the end and it's 2 stroke. I'm having a bottom end rebuild and new piston put in also

    99 cr250 top end rebuild

Well I thought I'd just let you guys know that I called the shop I usually go to. He charges $250 for complete tear down, cleaning and completely reassembly of entire motor. Not to bad I think. That's excluding parts though. Decided to get a new bottom end and new piston. So for all of it it's gonna run me about $700
