I didn't take it that way either I generally hate it when people don't use the search function! I just wanted you to know I wasn't "that guy". Get a bike now huh... I gotta admit I like the sound of that a lot better.

It is very odd getting used to just how nice people are around here. I mean we actually talk to our neighbors! I keep waiting for them to tell us off or something lol. Anyways we left a lot behind (family, friends, RIDING!) I am just trying to get those things established here and since with Riding may come friends that seems like a good of a place as any to start. So when is the "season" around here for riding? Should I hold off till next spring to get a bike? When will there be great deals? I am really thinking about a Husqvarna TE510 the last bike I had was a KLX 300r and I thought it was great, but it was a bit used so I am anxious to get something new.

I am from Sacramento and I lived there for 29 years. The need for change and we just had a daughter brought us here. Mainly I wanted her to grow up in a safer environment. The area we lived in was going downhill fast and just decided if we are going to move lets pick a place we always wanted to go. So Colorado was on the short list, it was really just deciding on Boulder area or Fort Collins. Since I work from home but have to travel we chose boulder to get in and out of DIA easier. We live in Louisville now and we are just shocked with how awesome it is here. I think we keep waiting for someone to tell us it is all fake I second that that site is awesome I am bookmarking like crazy today

I have read plenty of the other posts and it already seemed like they knew eachother and were just using the forum as a way to communicate. I'm not really the kind of person to not read and post right away. In any case I think it spawned some great information that isn't readily available on here and I appreciate all of the advice and links!

This has sort of scared me because at least where I was from in California the two didn't mesh well, but I see all of these trails around here so they must be living in peace I am all about the trails with the dream one day of doing some enduro races. Thanks for all of the links that perks my hopes up a lot. It seems like there are a lot more places to go than not only Now how can I get that Husky

Cool I just didn't seem much of that going here and I havn't seem many people around with bikes and such up here. I love it so far but staring those mountains in the face each day and not having a bike is killing me Wife says I can't get one until I meet people to ride with!

Hey folks, I just relocated to the Boulder area from California (like everyone else it seems). I sold my bike when we moved but I am looking to get a new one here soon. The problem is is that I literally know no one here that rides. I have been a longtime member of TT but I rarely post. I know in the California forum it seemed people would always post up where and when and invite people along. Does that happen much here? Or do any of you know any clubs to join? Thanks in advance.

ride area between Sac. and Chico

I am pretty sure there is a track in Marysville, not sure if that is the type of riding you were looking for though.

May Be Moving to Sacramento Area

Auburn is awesome, I would live there if I didn't do most of my business downtown like the majority of people who live near a metropolitan area. My point is you can't just say they all suck, like the other guy. I have had absolutly no problems in Natomas park and I have lived here for 5 years. I see cops all over, and my best friend is actually a cop and he calls Natomas Park "Boring" when he gets to patrol here, so boring to a cop is me is good to me as a home owner. 700k is no longer the average... maybe last year... not this year, you are miss informed. I don't get in pissing matches either much unless people are just throwing around generalizations. Saying "don't live in the city limits... trust me" is just a outlandish statement, and is not being informative to a person who may end up looking in an area like Natomas Park because it is close to work and a great community. Living in the hills is great, I would do it in a second if I didn't have to work. I plan on retiring up there somewhere, but in the meantime there are some great places actually in the city. Do the homework and find out what is right for you is all I am saying. Whatever you do don't just listen to people who make generalizations.

STOP with this... Natomas park is within the City limits and I am freaking 2 doors from $700k houses! If you are talking about living downtown next to the bus station then yeah your right. But the fabulus 40's? The pocket area? those are some of the richest neighborhoods around lol all within the city limits. Natomas (if you can get over the traffic as mentioned) is an awesome place to live if you work downtown, the commute is literally 5 min. The schools are decent but there are a lot of private school options. I grew up in Rocklin it is a great place but if your commuting downtown it is an 1 hour + to go 25-30 miles. I work in Folsom, it is a great place I would put it on par with Rocklin as far as schools go the only difference is they have light rail! Drive 5 min to the light rail station and your downtown before you know it. There are more great places to live in Sacramento (The city, as well as the suburbs) then there are bad.

Man I can't even find an article in the bee about this. Yet Folsom is covered in smoke. Is there two fires or is there a strange South Eastern breeze?
