  1. i only setup 4-st, just test it, move stuff around and write down what it did, get the proper spring rate, .......if your riding off road with ttx stuff than you prolly need it revalved, it is setup for mx..........check around your area for tuners familiar with ohlins

    blah,blah blah...everyone says that but either you got a lemon are a pro rider or lying........over 20 and not one issue.......all the people i know who take care of em same thing not one problem........a few fast pro guys i know have had issues and have to do piston, valve maintenance often..............but to say they're all time bombs or grenades is bullshit.......if you dont like em stop whining and go buy a 2-st.........to buy a 9k bike blow it up and then buy another blow it up and do it again is just stupid...

    your statement is totally false............there are 10 times the 4-st as there are 2 st right now so there will be more good and bad related for the 4-st. 4-st are bulletproof, problem is there are a lot of friggen morons out there who dont care for them properly and they grenade,,,with the occasional manufctr defect....i have seen so many 4-st bikes at the track that look like a pile its not funny....they dont change the oil or properly ride with dirty air filters dont check valves, cams or chain......if you do this properly than they last a long, long time....longer than a 2 -st.........most people dont care for their bike properly so all those stories you found?, you have no idea how those bikes were cared for..............i have owned over 20 4-st and i am anal with their maint....not one problem whatsoever with any of em, it is more operator related than it is time bomb related........4 st arent going anywhere pahtner.........the manufctr has so much money invested you can kiss off them scraping everything to build 2-st again........btw i love 2 st but reality is reality regardless...........as for hopping them up and paying 1k for exhaust well then thats consumer being plain stupid.......you can find the same exhaust for less than 50% off retail........havnt paid over 400 bucks for top of the line exhaust in years as well as other parts.........if your paying full pop for everything than thats your choice the obama thing and we need to vote is a hoot............vote for another crooked politiican to be in office!!!...yeah theres a solution.....they all suck, they all raise prices....it is not obama's fault he is just doing what presidents and politicians do.......the next one wont be any different nor the one after that...nor was the one before him and the one before him any friggen bike would be sitting on the dealrship floors right now.........look at our economy oh bright one...it is shiat, no ones buying anything........2 st would be sitting on the floor as well....... lets try to be realistic on why things are the way they are and not through your eyes cause you hate 4 st, lot of holes in your testimony

    it is not the AMA's fault or EPA........pro racing has very little to do with bike sales.............we the consumer who had to have what RC, reed ride is what killed the 2-st..........we stopped buying them so they stopped making them.......plain and simple if we would have still bought the rm's and kx's instead of the rmz and kxf's than you would still be able to buy em

    mx/gp or desert...........thats where it belongs, if i lived back east and rode that tight shiat i would be on a 200-250 2-st or bb 250f
  11. bike susp is great stock.......i raced mx/gp's and loved it......had many revalves and sets of ohlins and thought the xcf was great w/few clicker changes......spring rate needs to be correct of course..........just ride the bike, get it jetted, sprung and thats all it needs.........this bike prolly needs the least amt of modification than any

    had many, many bikes and many, many revalves..........my 09 450xcf was good stock, no revalve necessary just a few clicker changes......i was impressed and i ride mx and hit all the jumps at local so cal tracks........i am 175lb

    the fork on the 09 is a huge difference.........better tubes........better flex and smoother action..........i would get the 09, the 08 forks are hard to make as good as the 09....it would cost you 500 bucks to get the 08 forks as good as the 09...

    works level is far more detailed than just dlc/kashima coatings my friend...........the coatings actually do very little in terms of performance
