  2. My brothers RT100 forks are done, they won't move, even if you push down on them as hard as you can. This makes it hard to drive, especially for my younger brother who just learned how to drive a bike this summer. Lately he has been getting upset with the fact that he can't even drive on the trails anymore, as it's just too bumpy, and it often ends up twisting his forks (and I'm the one who ends up aligning them again). I'm just wondering if it's worth trying to rebuild them, or just swap them out with better forks. Because right now it's like two solid metal poles mounted in the triple clamps.. They are a very simple and easy thing to work on, as it's just a beginners bike. However I don't want to run into trouble swapping forks and having the front end too high, or low. Also, if I do chose to rebuild them, I don't know how long it will be before they go again. I plan on doing a frame up rebuild for him within the next two months, and the big thing for him is his suspension. With all that being said, should I rebuild or swap? And if swap, which bike should swap the forks with? I was thinking either a ttr110, pw80 or something like that. All insight is helpful, thanks.

  4. Besides the electric start, I was just wondering the differences between the YZ250F and the WR250F engines. Is one more reliable than the other? And are most parts the same? Thanks

  6. I've recently found a 2003 yz250f for sale. I've never heard much of these bikes especially in the earlier years, so I would like to Get some opinions on them. I ride mostly trail and enduro, and like a reliable bike that won't leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere. I'm 16, 5'8 and weigh 145 pounds. I still have a lot of growing to do so I'd like to make this bike to last me. I don't wanna do crazy maintenance, although I know it's a race bike so I can't expect to not do anything with it, as long as it doesn't cost me a fortune. I also know with these standards I should just get a trail bike, but I honestly like the power and handling of a race bike. All replies are helpful, as well as recommendations for other bikes (I've also been looking at an xr250). Thanks in advance

  8. Lately I've been thinking about picking up a KLX300 as a winter project. I was just wondering what the necessary mods would be to do to this bike. I ride mostly trail and enduro, so I like to have a decent snap with the throttle (I've heard these bikes don't have great throttle response) . I'm not to worried about suspension/ chassis mods, just engine and air flow really. As long as it can handle decently rough terrain I'll be happy. I also don't want to spend anymore than $150 on parts, so I'm just looking at filters, head pipes and jet kits. I'm 16, 5'8 and weigh 145 pounds. I still have a lot of growing to do so I'd like to make this bike to last me. I ride at around 80ft elevation with an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit).   9. I don't know what laws and rules of off road sports are in other countries/ states and provinces, as I am in eastern Canada. However, since my friends and I have been stopped by the trail police three times in the past month for having no plate on our bikes, I am just wondering if anyone has pictures of how they mounted their license plate without significantly changes the plastics or bike itself. I'd like for it to look somewhat decent and in a place where it won't get it my way, especially on the track. I also don't want to bend the plate too much. All ideas and replies are appreciated!   10. Just something I've always wondered.. If you have a fuel injected bike and do any mods to the air intake or exhaust, does it require some sort of adjustment for the fuel mixture? I know you have to jet a carberator after doing mods, so I was just wondering how all of that works on fuel injection.. Thanks
