    1973 Yamaha DT3 issues.

I've been restoring a 1973 Yamaha DT3 and finally got to the point of running it. I had some difficulty getting it to start, but since getting it started, it ran pretty good at first but now seems to lose power at 3/4 and full throttle and breaks up. When I let off the throttle, it runs fine but doesn't accelerate well under full throttle and feel like it is slowing down. It idles good and doesn't shut off. Could It be running too lean? I have the air screw turned out 1.5 turns. The spark plugs I've used, NGK B8ES, have been new and have looked pretty good, tan in color after a 5 or 6 mile run. I could use some advise on how to get my project running as well as I know it can. I'm fairly sure I have a carb issue. There is plenty of compression. I took the carb off during the restoration and it looked pretty clean after submerging it in Berryman Carb Cleaner. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Roger Fry
