question for those who replaced valves

this is way off topic but i was just wondering if Honda knows that there is a problem and what they are trying to do to correct it... i doubt with the 05's the valve problem is going to be gone.. well ok is it really a problem i have a 04 CRF250R and have no problem but i do believe that there is a problem... i checked my Valves last weekend and they were right on.. Now here is another quick thing i got the warranty for my bike now if i have to get a valve job done is that going to be covered under it??? well thanx folks

First time at Lake Elsinore track...

dirtygirl i went to the Elsinore track last weekend.. and it was alot of fun but way to crowded for me.. i dunno there are alot of tracks there soo i guess there is enough to choose from. but if it was me i would want to go to a less intimidating track for my first time.. i would suggest the track in anza california i think its called chuilla mx track i dunno its a fun lil track with a few jumps its not really supercross style soo no monster triples or anything like that its a fun lil track it was the first one i went to.. but if you do go to elsinore it will be fun i would just say choose a section of the track that you like or you think is fun and get off the track when you hear someone comin from behind and start your run over again when you have a clear path behind you.. i hope that makes since.. just join the track when there is no one behind you and ride and then when you get intimidated from someone behind you get off. and find the spot that has a section you like and get back in there... dont get pushed either because someone is behind you.. that'll just end up in you riding beyond your skill and inevitably crash good luck and have fun tracks are great alot of fun..

    Whoops....

well i hate whoops too.. but its something you have to deal with so.. i always lean back i want my front tire as light as possible, and when i hit the face of a whoop i gas it then i let off the throttle then gas it again to keep my front tire as light as i can to avoid it smashing the next whoop you will get the hang of when to gas and not to gas i guess if you are going fast enough you could keep a steady throttle but the only ideal way for that is if you could just ride over the top of them ... now this works great if they are not monster whoops...but just trail whoops or wash whoops and the faster you go you might get into a rhythm and just double them or triple them and not worry about it but for me there is just too much room for error to try that with a trail whoop that dont really have a rhythm.. well good luck

    the foot???

if you ride long enough it will come natural

    the foot???

you have much more balance with your foot out. it gives you the ability to throw your bike around.

Teaching someone how to ride better

umm to teach someone else to ride hmm.. i guess watch them... i haven't taught someone how to ride pro or anything like that but i have taught my girl how to ride and my bro how to ride better... with amy (my girl) it too a lot and a lot of patients but i always just rode behind her and told her why she was experiencing the stuff that she was.. but with her it was because she is soo dang timid.. haha umm yea watch them jump do they get slow down too much before the lip.. are they standing i dunno maybe take a video camera and record there jumps especially ones that they are having problems on... that way you can watch with them and explain what they are doing wrong. good luck XpReSS

    Cahuilla MX Park

ManicHispanic, i have been to that track. but i think they changed it since I've been there last.. its a pretty cool track they use the terrain so it's got a pretty wicked step up and if you clear it, the bottom side of the step up is long 50 ft landing.. there's a pretty big table around a sharp turn i always just pin it in 3rd to get up the hill to the table and zip threw the turn. the final jump is kinda cool its pretty far i would say over 70 ft with two landing spots one is about 50 ft the other is about 70.. when i went it was pretty rutted so i dunno. i remember they close at like 2 so that kinda sucks. there wasn't any doubles so maybe the upgrade took care of that.. last time i was there was back in like Jan so i dunno...well my buddy lives in lake elsinore so maybe we could hit the track up on Sunday i dunno PM me and let me know if your going. Work out and Ride

haha soo this is a good question.. lets see... if i was really motivated to work out and it was just for Mx riding i would work out my calfs, quads, my forearms, shoulders, and defiantly my lower back and stretch like a mug

    front end push

what do you mean your front end push's slides? Well, either way check the suspension! I got my girl a ttr-125 and for the first few months she was soo timid she wouldn't go fast enough to keep her balance... so i took her to el marage is just like this 5 mile long lake bed that's flat and smooth.. well i got the result that i wanted she started to learn you need speed!! now if you are going around a corner try putting your foot out in front of the peg by the tire it gives you more balance and helps you move the bike around. and try to push it a lil try going faster around a corner or what ever is makin your front end push! good luck and have fun XpReSS

    Downhill Fear--Help

bannerup that looks like a pretty sick hill... gotta be harder to go down though.. umm about going down a hill.. the only thing you can do is go for it! try something smooth without a lot of ruts and rocks and play with your braking. find the spot on the seat that makes you comfortable is it OK for the back wheel to slide. sometimes, so its not always bad.. but that is also something you will have to play with. i ride my front brakes the most, with the back on every once in awhile depends on what's ahead. best thing go with someone who is pretty good at going down hills have him go and kinda watch what he does. and pick your path!! good luck XpReSS
  14. Ok i have a new 04 crf 250r ever since i got it i noticed that if i am close to idle and i snap my throttle it bogs.. now i really haven't messed with it way too much because i only notice it when i am warming it up and not a lot when i ride but it seems to be a problem and i wanted to address it.. all right so far all i have done is put a #42 slow jet and put the polite screw to 2 turns.. i really didn't get a chance to test that. but did notice the bog. now i am left to think my problem is with my accelerator pump/leak jet. i know that some people suggest using a #55. but would i have to adjust my timing linkage? or is my problem something else? i know my next mod is going to be the powernow what does everyone think about that? is it worth it to get the powernow plus with the powernow? and does anyone know of a rev box that is out for the bike? thanx xpress
